Blue Seas is a cute and romantic, 1-bedroom, 1 bath condo at Lavender Hill Estates that sleeps four. The bedroom has a king bed with flatscreen cable TV, and there is a queen pullout sofa in the living room. This is a very well furnished and comfortable unit with full air conditioning, a well equipped kitchen, tiled bath and a comfy living area. The living area has a flatscreen TV, DVD, an MP3/iPod dock, and wireless internet service. There are romantic harbor views from the kitchen, living room and the porch deck. The pool, sun deck and BBQ grill are located between the two condo buildings, just a short walk from Blue Seas. It's also an easy 1/8 mile walk along the beach or the road to the restaurants, beach bars and shopping in the one of a kind, always fun Caribbean town of Cruz Bay. A rental car/jeep is not necessary but is always recommended for exploring the fascinating National Park and the off the beaten path delights of St. John.

About Caribbean Villas & Resorts of St. John

We stopped by St. John while traveling and quickly discovered that there's a lot to like about this very unique island. We visited and stayed in Coral Bay and Cruz Bay, and loved both areas for lots of similar and yet different reasons. After deciding that we had to be part of the St. John community, we couldn't decide where we wanted to have our island home - Cruz Bay or Coral Bay - so we doubled down and bought Blue Seas for Cruz Bay, and also bought a charming hillside villa named Sea Biscuit in Coral Bay (there's a link to Sea Biscuit on this website). Together, these two slices of paradise give us a good taste of the mix of island culture, people and geography that makes St. John such a fascinating place to slow down and embrace life.

Why Caribbean Villas & Resorts of St. John chose Great Cruz Bay

We really like Blue Sea's location because it's an easy and quite enjoyable stroll to the excellent dining found in Cruz Bay. For such a small town, Cruz Bay has a wonderful mix of really top notch restaurants and bars, all with a true island flavor. Yet Blue Seas is private and quiet enough that it still feels like a romantic island getaway - a perfect vacation retreat for 1 or two couples, or a small family.

Trip of a lifetime. Lavender Hill was amazing. The view was amazing and the Villa was super clean!!!

We spent July 13 through the 18th in St. John celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. This was our first trip to the island and it did not disappoint. Lavender Hill is the perfect location nestled over Cruz Bay. We did rent a jeep for easy access to all of the beaches and hiking trails, but with this perfect location, you can easily access all of the shops and restaurants! We would highly recommend Lavender Hill to anyone who is visiting St. John. We are already planning our trip back next year!!!!!

Was on St John for business. Could have had more reliable internet services. The internet services were down the last 2 days I was there.

Overall St John has very good internet service because most of the island was upgraded quite recently, but occasionally there are service interruptions, and unfortunately this was experienced on one of those rare but very aggravating periods. We hope you return to the beautiful island of St John!

Great Views and Location

This is a great, clean place to stay in Cruz Bay. It is just a quick 5 min walk to downtown Cruz Bay and Mongoose Junction as well as all the shops and restaurants so it was a wonderful location. You can walk to the dock to board any day trip boats like the Kekoa (highly recommend) for sailing. Just keep in mind if there are any festivals like Carnival the week before July 4th, that you can hear the music blasting from town until 3 am every night.

The bathroom is updated and clean and the towels were nice and soft. There is an actual ceiling fan in the bathroom and the door is slotted wood slats so you can essentially hear everything. The fan does not cover ventilation so I would recommend bringing air freshener or buying some upon arrival.

We had a few mosquitoes when we arrived in the unit but they were gone in a matter of a few days.

The bed is on the firm side. It has dips on each side and is comparable to an average hotel bed. The pillows are not plush, so if you are particular, you might want to bring your own. They were a little flat and lumpy.

Overall, I would stay here again for the price. If you are after a great location and clean villa this will be perfect. It just isn't your "luxury" villa.

Once Caribbean Villas has received your deposit, if you cancel/change your reservation 120 days or more prior to arrival, there is a 20% penalty off the total room charge. If you cancel/change your reservation 60-120 days prior to arrival, there is a 50% penalty off the total room charge. If you cancel/change within 60 days of arrival, there is a 100% penalty off the total room charge. Christmas/New Years and President weeks are non-refundable.
