I am 47 years old and live in Walnut Creek, CA with my wife and four children. I speak English, German, Italian, Spanish and French. I own vacation rental properties in Mexico (Playa del Carmen, Nuevo Vallarta, Cabo, Acapulco, Puerto Penasco and Mazatlan); Lake Tahoe (Northstar, CA and Incline Village, NV); Park City, UT (Deer Valley); Carmel, CA and other destinations.
David Bain purchased this condo in 2011
Has great ocean views, pristine pools and a range of amenities while still being within walking distance of local restaurants, shopping, etc.
Amenities include access to pools, beach, Brio Spa and Fitness Center, Tennis, Punta Sur golf course and an array of fine and casual dining.
The property was just like photos and as advertised. The rooms were impeccably furnished and the property well maintained with a breath-taking view of the Sea of Cortez.
Booked this 2 bedroom Master Suite through VRBO for a family group of four for a destination wedding. David, the owner was very prompt and professional in his response and I thought the rental rate to be very reasonable. He also sent us the reservation letter and information on hotel shuttle service as soon as we paid for the room. Upon arrival at the SJD airport we were able to locate the shuttle without a problem. We checked into the hotel with the reservation David provided us and it went smoothly. The only negative is the hotel attempts to sign you up for a Time Share presentation prior to showing you to the room. The master suite was as advertised on VRBO and it was very clean and well organized. We did have to get someone from the hotel to lower the A/C setting lower than the 75 degrees it was defaulted to. Room service was very good everyday and the hotel employees couldn't have been more pleasant. The restaurants, including the breakfast buffet were good, but not great, which is okay because there are a lot of good restaurants close by. I would rent from this owner again, and he has several other time shares including the Grand Luxxe.
We recently went to Cabo for the wedding of a family friend and decided to stay at the Grand Mayan. It was a great choice for us because it was close to the wedding location right outside of San Jose del Cabo. The unit was beautiful, comfortable and had ample space for our family of four, as well as my mother and niece. The staff at the Grand Mayan was wonderful and very attentive to our needs. While the spa and one of the restaurants was still closed for repairs, we were quite happy with the grounds, the pools and the food at the pool side restaurant that was open. The only drawback was that it was a fairly long cab ride to Cabo San Lucas. We would stay here again.
One of the most breathtakingly beautiful and exclusive destinations in Mexico, Los Cabos is a favorite of international travelers. Known for its exquisite gourmet cuisine, world-class golfing, boutique shopping, sport fishing, and yachting, Los Cabos has it all. Located at the southernmost tip of the Baja California península, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, it’s a unique combination of unspoiled deserts, virgin beaches, crystal white sand dunes, and turquoise blue water with dramatic rock outcroppings – a true paradise on earth. Los Cabos offers ideal weather year-round, with over 350 days of sunshine annually, and a temperature of 78° F, on average. It has a typical arid, desert climate, which means hot days and cool nights, when the breezes off the ocean and the mountains converge. Summer is nearly 8 months long here, but with water temperatures in the mid-70s, it’s always easy to cool off.
