Within 10 Minutes Walk To Harbour, shops and restaurant. Few minutes to beach.
We are a family of 5 and have been holidaying in Falmouth for over 25 years. Our boys are just about grown up now, the youngest being 16. Our main home is in Somerset, but we escape to Falmouth at every opportunity. Holidays are very important to me, you wont get a more fussy holiday maker than me, so be assured I strive to get it just right for our guests.
Why Owner chose Falmouth
Location! You can walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and harbour. There's plenty to do in Falmouth to keep the whole family happy, and as our boys have got older they have been able to do their own thing during the day and we all meet up in the evening.
What makes this Apartment unique
There is easy access to our apartment. You enter our apartment via the main, impressive Manor House doors, then just go down a few steps to our front door. Our apartment is then on one level. Although you enter our apartment at ground level, once in the apartment you are on the first floor. Just contact me and I can explain.

A week in Falmouth
Excellent impression of the property with everything we needed for our stay. Not a lot of furniture in the flat but enough for it to be comfortable enough
Very good location
Good property, good view, clean and tidy.
No shower in the main bathroom, only tub bath possible.
What a gem !
We absolutely loved this property. Its location is amazing for easy access to town and the beach, both within easy walking distance. The property has a lovely modern feel and is light and airy. The kitchen was really well equipped. Looking at coming back next year we loved it so much. Thank you.
Excellent apartment and great location.
Excellent apartment in a great location. A real home from home. Thank you.
Bright, open, spacious, great location.
We actually ended up staying in the owner's other property in Falmouth because of a possible problem with the elevator in this building. It was a similar property (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) but on the ground floor and closer to the water. The features of the property worked very well for us and it was a pleasure staying in the Gyllingdune Manor apartment.
Great position but needs a personal touch
We have stayed in the Georgian manor before so we love the location for its close proximity to the beach and Falmouth itself. The apartment has a lovely view but unfortunately it furnishings are ready for an update. The master bed was very uncomfortable and its a shame that there isn't a shower in the main bathroom.
I’m glad you liked the position of our apartment. This is the first time I’ve had a negative comment regarding the bed, and 80% of my bookings are repeat guests (as most guests book direct with me they are unable to submit reviews on this website). I feel the description and photographs of our apartment are accurate and give a true representation. I’m sorry our décor and furnishings weren’t to your taste.
Gyllyngdune Manor is adjacent to Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune gardens. Within the Pavilion there's a very handy bistro (seasonal), plus lots of other things going on there.
So many places are easily accessible either by foot, ferry, train or bus. It’s not necessary to use the car. The closest beach is Castle beach. Turn right and walk along the sea front path to Gyllyngvase beach with its blue flag status and exceptionally popular Gylly café. Follow the coastal path on to Swanpool beach or beyond to Maenporth beach. Both beaches have a café and a well rated restaurant. Head in the opposite direction to Pendennis castle.
Around the town and harbour you’ll find interesting shops, galleries and numerous restaurants. Falmouth is also home to Cornwall’s National Maritime museum.
You can walk (or drive) to the harbour and take a ferry to places like Truro, St Mawes or Flushing. From Flushing you can take a beautiful scenic walk to Mylor. So many places to explore!
You can take the train to Truro for some great shopping and sightseeing.
The lovely gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are only a 15 minute drive away, and usually when you visit Trebah your ticket allows you entry for the whole week-my family’s favourite garden.
Then of course Falmouth is well positioned for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
