Beautiful home and view
We stayed here with 8 adults and 7 teens/kids. Plenty of beds and rooms for everyone and enough space where no one felt cramped or on top of each other. Bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were clean (always a plus) and we all felt very "at home." Does show some wear and tear (sliding door track broken in basement, window cranks not working on some, garbage disposal not working) but this is a home, not a hotel. I'm sure the homeowner will fix once made aware of the issues. Overall, highly recommended!
Pros: Views, Size, Location, Overall access to amenities
Cons: Only 2 of 3 showers worked, beds weren't very comfortable, mstr bathroom shower leaked on bed below, board games were missing pieces, furniture was a little dated.
Overall experience was good. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves. No one was ontop of each other. Do plan on taking your own garbage to town. There were only two small bins which filled up quickly with 13 people.
We work very hard to see that our guests have a positive experience. The shower and leak were repaired the same day these guests checked out. We simply can t repair something until we know about it. There is absolutely no reason to take the trash anywhere . We have a crew that collects it upon departure after a 2 day stay and if the stay is longer the guests can call and we re very accommodating. The thought of carrying it off with you in your car is rediculous. We provide 2 large outside trash cans about 4 feet tall and encourage recycling items be bagged to the side. If there s excessive trash I don t understand why a call to me is considered bad compared to trucking it off in your car. Oh well, we truly try.
Beautiful views from the house.
Loved the property! The views from the house were amazing!
A hidden gem
This home is beautiful. Not much more to comment. It's spacious, modern, and yet evokes a rustic feel.
Thank you so much for sharing that. It's meaningful to our team and future guests, as well. Glenda
A wonderful escape! Enjoyed our stay very much!
During the recent holiday week, we had had three families (17 people total) meet at this mountain cabin retreat for two nights/three days. The view is truly spectacular and I have to agree with other reviews that the pictures online honestly don't do it justice.
There was plenty of room for everyone to be together without feeling cramped. The sleeping arrangements were a bit tricky for everyone to have a warm, comfortable space but we made it work. The lower level rec area was a nice hangout for the kids to have their own area when they wanted. The fireplace upstairs was amazing, and also necessary to keep the house warm (keep in mind it was below zero overnight while we were there).
The kitchen and living area were great. The kitchen is well stocked and cooking meals for a large group was easy. No need to bring paper products but do bring cleaning supplies such as dishwasher detergent, sponge and dish soap.
We would have preferred slightly more communication. We fortunately found someone local to deliver wood twice during our stay. A notebook with some local contacts, such as pizza delivery, emergency/urgent care, things to do while in town, property manager contact info., etc. would have be helpful since none of us were from the area. The property manager showed shortly after we arrived and was helpful. We had read from previous reviews that the driveway was "tricky", well that was spot on! Fortunately only one of our four vehicles didn't make it up the driveway! We didn't let it ruin our fun but it was it not convenient for unloading, etc. There are a lot of stairs (both indoor & outdoor) so anyone not able to handle steep stairs should be careful.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to accommodate a large group. Thank you for sharing your lovely mountain retreat with us.
