Clean and Sufficient
We had a great 3 nights in Alfama. My wife and I had plenty of room. The bathroom was great, good water pressure. There are several restaurants around the apartment and a great coffee shop and flea market within 10 minute walk. Ana was awesome! Thanks for the stay.
This is the perfect spot-clean, comfortable (albeit small) and in a great location. Ana was very accommodating. Thanks for a super visit! Portugal has our hearts.
Compact but clean
This is perfect for one person. Very comfortable but small. A couple could do it but not for very long. Perfect location in Alfama with restaurants and Fado music and the train station nearby. Ana was kind to let me in early due to my early arrival.
We didn't expect such a perfect stay. Small and quaint, but exactly what you want. Every corner is used as it should be, you feel as if it were your own home! Far enough removed from the rush and buzz of the city and crowd, but close enough to stroll there comfortably, you can't ask for anything more. We will definitely stay here again when we come back :) 10/10
-Ana was such a kind and warm host, made our stay that much better with her amazing suggestions.
Alfama is one of Lisbon’s most typical and old neighbourhoods. It goes from the São Jorge’s castle until the Tagus River. It’s distinguished by its narrow streets, populated by small buildings, churches, nooks and small squares that survived the 1755 earthquake.
In this neighbourhood where modernity and tradition coexist, there are several belvederes with the most amazing views over Lisbon and the Tagus River. In almost every corner the Fado can be heard and seen. There are many restaurants serving delicious traditional food. To dive into Lisbon’s history, the São Jorge’s castle, the cathedrals, the monasteries, the chapels and the various ruins should be visited. Culture is also very present through the museums, the live-music pubs, the art galleries, the theatres and the book shops that you can go to.
All this is what you can see only in the Alfama’s neighbourhood. Can you imagine how much is there to see in Lisbon? Come and find it for yourself! We would be delighted to welcome you!
