About Angie Flippin
Obie and Gena built this cabin by hand on land that Obie grew up on. It was meant to be a weekend getaway, but with 5 grandkids involved in sports, they just do not have the time to spend there that they would like. So, they have decided to share their paradise with you. Hope you love it as much as they do.

Log Cabin Independence VA
Immaculate real log cabin with perfect mountain vistas in both the morning and evening. The cabin was close to a small, well maintained country road making access very easy, but little road noise could be heard once on top the mountain. Great location for a weekend getaway. Recommend highly.
Beautiful Independence Log Cabin
The authentic log cabin was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Quiet, and as stated, secluded. Great area and wonerful cabin for a weekend getaway.
Secluded and Beautiful!!
My husband and I stayed here for our Honeymoon! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable! The views from the back porch are better than what you can see from the pictures. We drove to a state park nearby as well and well.. Virginia is just all around beautiful! Pine Mountain Escape is truly an escape and will forever be special to us. Angie was a delight to work with- always available and responds quickly to requests. You won't be disappointed if you stay here! We will be coming back!
My husband brought me here for a surprise weekend getaway. Sometimes cabins in the mountains can be a bit disappointing. This cabin was quite the opposite. Clean, neat and secluded. The view was amazing, and total privacy. Not that far from town, and the New River Trail.
Wish we could have used the fire pit, but weather in the evening did not cooperate!
Had a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back.
This cabin is just as described - only much, much better!!! Other reviews have said that the pictures don't do it justice, and that is so true! This cabin is immaculate! You can tell that great care went into not only the building of it, but the upkeep, including the lawn. There is no dust or dirt anywhere! Everything you need is right there. We were celebrating our anniversary and had planned to go to dinner one night, but decided instead to stay and eat in - we didn't want to leave. The weekend went way too quickly, and we are looking forward to going back. Top that off with great communication with the owner, and it makes for a perfect rental. We highly recommend!
