Stay in Barcelona
The location was great but everything else fell below expectations. Gonzalo greeted us upon arrival but we could not reach him for the remainder of the trip. There was no air conditioning and we sent several requests asking for repairs and additional fans and got zero response. I slept on the sofa because there was more air flow but no extra blankets so I used my scarf as a blanket. Plus there was black mold in the shower tiles. I requested a partial refund but to no avail. Very disappointing experience overall and made me question if we should just stick to hotels in the future.
Property was clean, nice and in a great location. Only problem is the AC didn't work. Property manager gave a half hearted attempt to fix but wasn't really that concerned. Made for two pretty miserable nights.
The AC remote control did not work and as this happened on Sunday and the next day it was a holdiay, Sant Juan in Barcelona, it was imposible to repair it. On a normal work day it would have been repaired the same day. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Fantastic location in Barcelona
We wish we had had more time to get to know the neighborhood. Found some neat places to eat and drink right in the "hood". Apartment was comfortable but could use a few kitchen tools, i.e.,a bread knife, sharper chef knife, a cutting board, a few more water glasses, perhaps some salt and pepper (real basic things so guests don't need to get everything at the store.) A booklet of information would be helpful in addition to the first night care package - where to get milk, toilet paper, paper towels, beer and wine, etc., a Metro map or some info on tickets, cost . . . Some new, fitted sheets would be nice. The beds were comfortable but sheets wouldn't stay on - too small on the king, for example. Otherwise, we all loved the apartment and it worked pretty smoothly for the 5 of us adults. I'd love to return just with my wife and really get to know Barcelona. Thank you Marissa and Goncalo for meeting us and being available as needed.
Well located and comfortable apartment.
There was a shortage of mugs and that was resolved immediately. The beds were comfortable, and it was great to be able to make excellent coffee with the Nespresso machine. Instructions about what to do with the garbage would have been useful. The apartment is bright and the WiFi reliable. I would definitely want to stay there again!
Thanks for staying with us Anne, it was nice to have you as a guest!
Beautiful apartment in an excellent location for touring Barcelona.
The apartment was exactly as advertised, plenty of room for two couples.
The kitchen was minimally furnished but this was not an issue as we did only basic food preparation. Our only complaint was the lack of paper towels or coffee filters. We had to go to 4 different groceries to find coffee filters- not the way I had planned to start my Barcelona vacation.
However, the location made up for any minor hassles. Would recommend.
We got there and were welcomed by Gonzalo and he was really nice. The elevator was not working on our arrival and we had to carry all our laugages 2 floors up. It was was taken care fast and it was working later. When we got to the apartment it was very clean and nice. We were worried because there was only 1 small air conditioning in the living room. It was available for all the apartment including 3 bedrooms! But Gonzalo said that it was sufficient to cool the entire apartment and few hours later it was cold! Nice area and very quiet neighborhood!!
Gracia was a town until it was enveloped by Barcelona in the 1890s. Located in the country of architectural wonders, which is the Eixample, this apartment is within walking distance of the tourist attractions in the area. Tree-lined streets and a village atmosphere that makes it a pleasure to simply stroll and get lost in the quaint squares, bars and cafes that date back almost a century. With many modern shops and a variety of examples of impressive modernist architecture make it one of the most fascinating neighborhoods of Barcelona. A 2 minute walk from the apartment is Avenida Diagonal and Paseo de Gracia, with its boutiques, nightclubs and especially La Pedrera, Casa Batlló and Casa Amatller, 3 houses designed in the modernist era by Antonio Gaudi. The world-famous Sagrada Familia is a few steps from your door. The Gracia metro stop is just a stone's throw away, the city center is ten minutes away and the beach fifteen minutes away. So if you just want to wander around and enjoy the atmosphere of the area or want to visit impressive famous works of architecture, Grace is the place for you.
