Wonderful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there with a group of friends over the New Year's Eve and had an amazing time. The house was clean, very comfortable, with ample space and gorgeous views (I'm hoping to go back there in the fall -- should be breathtaking!). Jackie was very responsive and helpful in advance, very accommodating to our needs, and made sure we were comfortable. The location was perfect -- very close to downtown Harpers Ferry and all the activities there, as well as close enough to a number of wineries and cideries around. The weather was cold, so we didn't spend much time outdoors -- but there's a lovely patio (did I mention the views?) and a playground nearby, as well as lots of hiking and biking trails. Hope to come back!

Superior to all I have ever rented.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have renter condos, cabins and houses any where on the beach from the outer banks to Charleston S.C. and the hills of southeastern Ohio and the Smokey Mountains for hiking. We found this rental to be above all we have ever rented. The owners made our stay hassle free. There were condiments in the fridge along with a frozen pizza and ice cream. The pantry had your basic samples. The keurig was well stocked. The only thing missing was a cold beer. Unfortunately I can only give this rental 5 stars as we would love to give it 6,7,or 8. Thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay. PS, the view is fantastic.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was clean and orderly with clear information and instructions on everything. I will say that the exiting instructions are a bit much, but it is a home rather than a hotel, so reserve about 15 minutes when you're about to leave.

Some things that were great:

-the front door lock was great without the need to share a key or remember who had it

-nice deck with a good view

-lots of rooms and bathrooms

-separated spaces (ie kitchen, living, dining, etc.)

Lovely and well kept home.

  • 5 of 5

I spent a weekend here with several girlfriends to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a blast - beds all comfortable, kitchen well-appointed and nice living area and deck to gather and enjoy. Short distance to Harper's Ferry historic area, hiking trails, and adventure park. Owner friendly and accommodating. Would do it again!

Feels Like Home

  • 5 of 5

As a sidenote, this review is so late because I thought I had submitted it last year but cannot find it in the list. We are repeat renters and absolutely love this rental. It's that time of year again when we decide whether we are going to either Harper's Ferry or Skyline Drive areas, and just seeing the photos immediately makes me want to sway towards HF. I love having my morning cup of coffee sitting on the deck with the gorgeous views. We love walking the kids to the playground around the corner. The owners show great hospitality. For our last stay, we had recently added onto our family, and upon arrival I was greeted with a small gift for the little guy. I thought that was the absolutely sweetest thing. The two upstairs bedrooms had been redone since our last visit, and the decorating was wonderfully done. We walked down to the Harpers Ferry attraction area and took the train to DC one of the days. You definitely can't say there's nothing to do! On our rainy day we just hung around the house, which is fine by me, because this definitely feels like a home away from home.
