Bay area native who loves the Napa Valley and all it has to offer
Jessica H. purchased this house in 2014
The private setting, views and walking trails, as well as the proximity to Napa's world-class offerings can't be beat.
This was perfect for our purposes - the house is old and sound travels from upstairs and room to room very easily. The setting is gorgeous and a good location for wine tasting.
Loved this house! 8 of us stayes for a weekend and had so much fun. Plenty of space, rustic, charming, and spacious. The bocce ball and badminton were so much fun and we cooked every night and unwound after wine tasting. We would definitely stay again!
We had a great stay. The house if wonderful, and the space outdoors was fantastic. We had a large group, and it was great to eat around the outdoor dining table. The porches are really nice. Bocci Ball was fun. I absolutely hope to make it back some day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very comfortable and cozy. The property was very remote and beautiful, we saw multiple deer walking through the lot daily. Despite being in a remote location, it was an easy drive to downtown Napa. Jessica was always friendly and quick to respond to my emails. Everything went wonderfully! We wish we had more time than just the weekend to spend enjoying this home.
I rented this house for my friend's 50th birthday weekend. We were so delighted! The house was beautiful! There was plenty of space for everyone! Lots of parking and the house had plenty of linens and towels for everyone. I've rented plenty of houses in the past and we've gotten used to bringing all our groceries, including condiments and seasonings. I was surprised to find the house was well stocked with condiments, seasonings, sugar, coffee. That was wonderful!
We also really enjoyed the privacy. We were close enough to downtown Napa and all the wineries, but we still had our peace and quiet.
Both, the owner of the house and the caretaker, Mike, were super friendly and pleasant to interact with! Mike was prompt with answering questions and was very helpful!
I will add that most of us didn't have cell network at the house, but it was wonderful that there was a house phone!
Overall the title of this vacation rental is completely apt! We loved the house, we all wanted to stay longer! I will definitely consider renting this house in the future if we decide to go back to Napa :)
This place offered a quiet, secluded setting, free of the Napa curfew rules, yet an easy drive to downtown amenities. A roomy, well -equipped place. Carpet, furniture, beds and bathrooms very nice and clean. The wildlife was a great treat in the early mornings. Our group of 5 were all 45+ in age, and it was a great place for all of us, but would be even better for a family with children, or even multiple families. The beds at top of stairs are standard single beds (twin) rather than the half-moon shaped ones shown in the photos. Bathrooms and the kitchen were well stocked with toiletries and condiments respectively, so not necessary to purchase the usual basics when we arrived, but we could of course bring our own or purchase new if we preferred. The owners were indeed very responsive to our questions and requests...Jessica via email prior to arrival, and Mike via phone the day before we arrived, and again after we settled in. Non-intrusive but very willing to answer questions and respond to any needs. This place really offers freedom, especially to families with kids that you just want to turn loose in the yard/field and not worry about complaints or major safety issues (such as heavy traffic) once you settle in.
The Napa Valley offers world class restaurants, wine tasting, spas, shopping and outdoor activities. Silverado Country Club has golf, tennis, swimming, spa services and dining
