It is always a beautiful time of year to visit Seabrook Island! Come and enjoy what we think of as a little slice of heaven. A perfect place to unwind and relax - regardless of the season. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a beautifully decorated sun room which has been enclosed with glass. Flat screen televisions in living room and Master Cable and high speed internet. The cottage sleeps 6 people. Nicely furnished and very comfortable. The dining room table can seat 6 with room for growth. The enclosed sun room has a glass covered table to accommodate 4 people, a sofa, a rocker and comfy chairs to relax in while catching up with favorite book, watch a great movie or a perfect spot for the kids to play after a long day at the beach - an array of board games , and/or their favorite Wii or Xbox game.

Living in Charleston allows us to be available to assist our guests in any way. So many things to do...our beautiful beaches, swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, crabbing, long bike rides, kayaking, nature walks, access to the Lake House which has an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a top of the line fitness center and the Community Pool. Late afternoon walks at North Beach - and if you venture all the way to inlet - you may be lucky enough to see the dolphin and capture them strand feeding - it is truly unlike anything you have ever seen. Wild life sightings include but not limited to bob cats, fox, wild turkey's deer prancing around the island, needless to mention alligators, dolphins, sting rays, crabs - please be careful. The Equestrian center is located to the left as you enter onto the island and is always a fun place to visit.

Endless opportunities on beautiful Seabrook Island and just 27 miles South of Historic Charleston. Some many great restaurants located down town. Fall House Tours begin the beginning of October - Wild Life Expo is hosted in Charleston normally the 2nd week of February - Spring Garden and House Tours begin the middle of March, the Spoleto Festival begins the 3rd week of May and continues until the second week of June - Tour Fort Sumter, the Yorktown Aircraft Carrier, Boone Hall Plantation, Middleton Plantation, Magnolia Plantation, Tanger Outlet Mall, Market Street, Rainbow Row, Battery Park, Waterfront Park, Marion Square needless to mention all of the golf possibilities.

Shops, a Spa and an array of restaurants located at Bohicket Marina. Fresh Fields has The Village Market by Harris Teeter, a pharmacy and several shops and restaurants located just blocks outside the gate. Fresh Fields also features a monthly event calendar - very family oriented - movie nights, farmers market, live entertainment - so much fun.

The annual Billfish Tournament takes place at Bohicket Marina in early June - come and see where the boats meet in the evening for weigh in. Live music on weekends - beautiful sunsets.

The bike path will take you to from Seabrook Island to Bohicket Marina, Fresh Fields - then onto Kiawah if you are feeling adventurous. Bike rentals available and convenient - a great way to see the island - delivery and pick up at cottage, or electric cars are another fun option to scoot around the area - Lightning Bugz is a great source.

Come and capture some of the prettiest sunsets you will find in the LowCountry - a place where memories are made and a place that truly provides a reason to return..

About 'Pat Pettus

We have been visiting the area dating back to 1970's - reunions with cousins at beach houses on Sullivan's Island and Island of Palms - our first visit to Seabrook was in the early 80's and rented for 9 months in 1986 and purchased in 1987. We live in Charleston and have a middle school aged son. We still absolutely love Seabrook and all that is has to offer.

Being in the hospitality industry along with the keeping up with son's social calendar - unfortunately that does not allow us a whole lot of free time to spend on Seabrook. So we decided - we would like to share our little slice of heaven and introduce the true beauty of what the island has to offer.

Come, relax and absorb the beauty of the island.

'Pat Pettus purchased this cottage in 1987

Why 'Pat Pettus chose Seabrook Island

Grandma's Beach House is just that. As you drive down Bohicket Road through the canopy of trees - as you approach the security gate - entrance on Seabrook - you will be greeted at the gate with a friendly smile and as you pull onto the island you will feel the immediate release of the everyday grind you have left behind.

And it just gets better from there.

What makes this cottage unique

This is also a GREAT monthly rental option...

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great weekend.. I am so thankful that you are renting your cottage...we planned a last minute getaway and your place was perfect. We spent time at North Beach, went for long bike rides, beach fishing at Pelican Watch, kayaking and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool at the Lake House.

I completely understand why you enjoy being on Seabrook as much as you do.. You truly do have a little slice of heaven.

We will look forward to vacationing again on Beautiful Seabrook Island.

With Charleston so close to Seabrook - you have a great combination of beach and fun and the history of venturing to the down town area. I would be more than happy to discuss and assist you with planning your weekly events while staying on the island..making reservations for tours and meals.

What a very enjoyable visit. Our guests arrived and we went biking, kayaking, exploring, swimming, crabbing and so much more. The cottage was great and so clean. The enclosed sunroom was an added bonus. We had everything we needed. The island was beautiful and we can't wait to return.

The weather was not that cooperative, however we did not let it spoil our visit.

Nice area walking distance to beach. Felt safe with two teenagers.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was easily roomy enough for five. Fished, swam at the pool, kayacked, biked, walked and shopping close by. Great time.
