Quiet and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful time in the cottage, brought back alot of good memories.

Enjoyed listening to all that nature had to offer, beautiful views of Rough River. I don't think it could have been any better.

Great Weekend !

  • 4 of 5

Property worked well for our needs. Screened in porch fabulous for the kids, especially during the rain. The steps down to water are set up really neat but coming back up was hard on the legs. Most grateful to the owners for their understanding when we misplaced key. I would definitely rent again.

Cozy Getaway Place

  • 4 of 5

The house was easy to find and close to the North Fork campgrounds (where the rest of the family was staying). I only rented it because I didn't feel like "camping" with the in-laws large amount of "children" this year. NOTE... even though you can see the lake from this house and you can walk to the lake, there are 113 steps to get there. Down was easy, but coming back up one friend had to rest twice. Fortunately, they did a great job by building two rest spots. One was even screened in if you wanted to hang out for a while. Also due to the Corp of Engineers requirements that nothing can be touched after the "red line" it is very rough to get to the actual water. You would also need a rope to tie off your floating device because this area of the river is a major traffic flow and the water is really flowing. You would float away quickly. The house is very clean and well maintained and it was fine for the small amount of time we were actually there. If the water was more accessible I would have given 5 stars!

Relaxing!

  • 4 of 5

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was quaint and cozy.

Very relaxing. Loved the screened in porch. The trip to the lake and back up was a workout for us.

We had a great time!

Everything was great! We loved the view and the fenced in yard was good for our kids. The neighborhood was very friendly. We hardly left the screened in back porch.

Convenient location near the beach at Fork Lake

  • 5 of 5

This home was comfortable and clean with plenty of outdoor areas including the fire pit with seating. We enjoyed visiting Fork Lake beach (about a 5 minute drive) twice during our 2 day stay. Pleased with our stay and will come back again!
