Guestbook comments from the owner

My family and I stayed at this lake front condo in Dillon for a weekend and couldn't imagine a better place to stay in the area! The location was walking distance to great restaurants and access to Lake Dillon. With three bedrooms, the condo is gorgeous and is a great size- it fit my family perfectly. The views of Lake Dillon from the balconies are incredible and we will definitely be staying again! I'd recommend this gorgeous condo to anyone looking for a relaxing week in the mountains or active vistors wanting to explore everything the Rockies have to offer!

Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

Everything was really great. The home is unique in that it really feels like renting two homes - there's an upstairs with the small kitchen and living space and master bedroom, and then the downstairs is only accessible by passing through the porch vestibule and into the "lower suite" with 2 bedrooms and kitchenette. I loved that both areas had their own balconies though, and the view was INCREDIBLE! The unit was clean and well maintained - I was worried having seen one of the earlier reviewers about some maintenance problems and such, but we found everything to be in great repair. It is small and for large groups you have to be creative about setting up the provided card tables and folding chairs for meals, but we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The location was ideal for us for a ski trip with our kids - we stayed with 2 adults and 6 young children and it was perfect for our needs! The wood burning fireplace was a huge hit! Although I would have gladly paid a bit extra to not have to clean the whole place when we checked out. Cleaning the ashes out of the fireplace wasn't hard per se, but with all 6 kids running around while we were trying to get cleaned up and checked out, I kind of wish there was an option to pay an extra $100 or so and just have the cleaning service do all of the dishes, wipe the whole place down, clean out the ashes, etc. All in all though, a great stay. We would stay here again!

Dam Ski Chalet with great views and close to Keystone

  • 5 of 5

The chalet was easy to find. Working with Richard to coordinate check-in and check-out was easy. He responded quickly to e-mail and text. All our questions were answered and we had a great time skiing at Keystone, A-Basin and Breckenridge. All were an easy drive from the condo. The place was clean and all the utensils we needed were easy to find. I was especially happy to have a humidifier in my bedroom. The dry climate makes it harder to sleep, so the humidifier really helped.

We would stay here again - for sure!

Nice and clean place

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Richard's place for 2 nights on Feb 5th-7th. This condo is at a very convenient location, the rooms are clean and warm.

However the parking lot is not that spacious and you might have to park very far if you come back late at night. Also the living room on second floor is not that big, 6-8 people dining together will make it a bit crowded.

Overall it's a very nice place, price is reasonable, the owner is very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Cozy Condo with lots of perks!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was absolutely perfect for us! We were able to give the kids their own space and have more than enough room for ourselves! We made a nice cozy fire each night and enjoyed family movies together on the big tv. Richard was a great host with lots of information and recommendations. Would definitely recommend this condo to others!

Great Space to Kick Off the New Year!

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here with 7 other adults and we were very happy with our stay. The condo was easy to find, very clean, equipped with all the small amenities we needed that rental homes sometimes miss (coffee filters, humidifier, hair dryers, etc). We are a group that wants to spend as much time on the slopes as possible so we really appreciated not having to worry about hunting these items down, the condo was comfortable from the get-go. Very comfortable beds/pillows/towels/etc. It is a great location from multiple ski resorts that were very easy to access via car or shuttle. Stop was 1 block away. I would recommend this property to a family or a group of adults looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in the mountains.

Great location - terrible condition!

  • 1 of 5

Dillon Lake was a fantastic location. The condo was unfortunately a bad experience. Beginning with the hole in the front deck covered with a piece of wood and orange traffic cone, we experienced a dirty condo, a bathroom rug that reeked of urine, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, waking to construction workers on the roof, construction debris blocking our entrance, a head injury caused by crawling under the scaffolding, and more. A perfectly located condo for experiencing Colorado.

Owner's Response: William, As we discussed, I am sorry to hear about your experience. During your visit the condo was under going renovations under the direction of the HOA which included painting and a new roof. Unfortunately, one of the workers damaged the decking (i.e the hole) which was never brought to my attention. Like you...I was pretty ticked off. Regarding the you probably know we outsource cleaning to a local company. I think we both would a agree that a company that doesn't execute on their commitment will not stay in business in todays environment. I have since fired them and my understanding they are no longer in business. Again, I apologize about your experience as we have had nothing but stellar reviews. I wish you would've brought this to my attention upon arrival, so it could've been addressed.
