Nice neighborhood

The home is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It is a lovely home with three bedrooms. The beds are very, very soft. If you are older and have a bad back it may not be for you. The pillows all have plastic protectors on them and almost impossible to sleep on. Thank God we had brought our own. The only other thing we didn't like and it is in the contract but we were kind of stuck because of short notice. The homes thermostat is computer controlled by the electric company 78 is as cool as it's going to get. I just think for the amount of rent you are paying per day you should be comfortable. That's the reason 4 stars instead of 5. All and all the home is very nice and has everything you would need. Norman the owner is very nice and willing to work with you.

Owner's Response: Thank you Guy & Kathy for your comment/review, however, you misread and/or misunderstood our notice about the house temperature settings. If they have read it carefully or called us at the time to clarify the issue, then we could have fixed the problem. The quick assumption and lack of communication with the owner is the result of an uncomfortable stay. I’m sorry that you were uncomfortable but you did not give us a chance to let you know you can adjust the thermostat in the house to the lowest setting possible... Central Air A/C & Heating System: Please Do Not Close Air Vents Throughout The House. Open air vents to allow free air flow and will help circulate the air evenly and keep the temperature at the desired level without making the AC/Heat system work harder. The recommended normal temperature settings are: For cooling - keep temperature set at 78 degrees – lowest 75 degrees, during summer. If you set the temperature lower than 75 degrees it will freeze up the AC, which can cause it to shut down, then house will go without cooling air and all guests must evacuate. For heating – keep temperature set at 68-70 degrees – the highest 72 degrees, during winter. We monitor the temperature via computer and we'll adjust as necessary. Let's avoid this issue by following the recommended temperature settings. We're participating in the Cool Share program and NV Energy Company may automatically adjust the temperature during the day as they deem necessary. Please keep doors and windows closed at all times in order for the A/C & Heating system to work effectively…. Plastic pillow savers covers are provided for sanitary purposes for all guests. Our beds are pillowtops, which several Guests say it was the most comfortable bed they’ve ever slept in. Our home is your temporary “Home Away From Home” and cannot compare to your own home. Leave high expectations behind and focus on the positive areas of the house. With that in mind your vacation will be a memorable one. Positive thinking brings you much Happiness. Being Grateful that the house is available when you need it the most at last minute is a Blessing to you. While we cannot please everyone, however, we try our very best. My suggestion is for those “Hard to please people” they should ask a lot of questions before reserving to see if this house is a right fit for them. The key is good communication for both Guest and Homeowner.

Vacation of 2014

My daughter, grand-daughters and I had a wonderful experience staying at your home. We were close enough to get to the strip in about 20 minutes but we didn't have the hassle of the crowd. It's a very quiet neighborhood and close to small malls. We were close enough to the freeway to go to the several Natl parks in the district. I think that the setup of the rooms was also very good because the master bedroom was on one side of the house and that's where my grand-daughters stayed and my daughter and I had the other side of the house. The kitchen is very nice and I do like the flooring and I may do that to my house. The outside was nicely maintained altho we didn't use it I'm sure that if you enjoy cooking outside it would be very convenient. Our stay was very nice and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Vegas area.

Enjoyed our stay! House was great!

This was our first experience with vrbo and it was great. Everything was handled via email which made it simple. We stayed here over a weekend and really enjoyed the house. It allows you to get away from the bright lights of Las Vegas, yet still drive there if you want. The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt very safe. It was great having the garage to park our cars. It was located just down the street from all kinds of shopping. The freeway was easy to get to and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway was only 10 minutes away. We are glad we were able to stay there and Imelda let us stay another night when our plans got extended. Thanks! We will definitely use again!

Wonderful house!

Thank you Imelda for renting this wonderful house to us. It was very spacious, with lots of TVs and was very clean. We loved cooking in the very nice large kitchen. It was an easy drive to the strip where our convention was, yet it provided a nice serene get away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown. I would highly recommend this house as a rental to anyone!
