Ground Floor Walkout on Rec Path & River! Big Corner Unit! Keystone Dancing Bear

Property type condo
Minimum Stay 4 - 6 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Condo Sleeps 4-6 / Mountain And River Views. Walk To Lift

Want a ground floor condo with a cabin feel and non-stop views? This bright corner unit where you can walk right out the back door to the lifts is IT! Located with the Lower Go Devil and Last Hoot in view and the babbling Snake River to lull you asleep. The Keystone Dancing Bear has it all.

After a full day of skiing, two hot tubs are 20 steps away for a soak. Beware watching the night skiing. It will beckon you to walk the 400 yards to Peru Lift again.

Come year round, the ski lifts, BBQ grill, snake river & wide bike/walking rec path are all out the back door. There is even fly fishing! Personally, I see a few snowmen out the numerous windows, a game of catch in the summer and incredible mountain biking! The Keystone Dancing Bear has an unique location. It feels private, restful yet the activities are close. Take time off and enjoy feasting on the stars over the mountains on the private deck or sip hot cider in front of the gas fireplace with the slopes in view from the numerous windows. Don’t you deserve this awesome place?

The proud owners have painted and updated the 1200 sf Keystone Dancing Bear Condo with a fresh mountain look and feel. The Condo has a Pottery Barn dining room that will sit 6, a new memory foam mattress for the sofa sleeper that is great for kids and 3 flat screen TVs. The entryway features a 6’ closet, cubbies, seating for ski boots on & off and enough space for whatever you want to bring.

As the largest 2 bedroom (1200 sqft) in the Tenderfoot Lodge with windows galore, the kitchen can host all the cooks or helpers in your party at one time. Everyone can find a seat and a spot to hang their hats, gloves and their gear. The large 2nd bathroom has a tall shelving unit that even a dressed to impress young woman can’t fill. The private master suite boast a flat screen TV and comfy queen bed with the slopes in view. On the other side of the condo is 2nd bedroom with twin beds & down quilts and flat screen TV. It also looks out to mountains & the huge courtyard.

The necessities of life are all there, a fully equipped kitchen with niceties like flour, sugar, spices etc. Wouldn't you know it, there is even space for groceries in the amply supplied large kitchen! You will find games, family movies, and books. There is a new washer & dryer in the unit. I try to avoid those but they are right there if you need them. Both baths have tubs with shower heads.

One of 2 elevators to the heated underground parking garage is 3 doors away.

The Tenderfoot lodge sports a HUGE lobby with TV, fireplace and view. Consider meeting friends there…..otherwise if they see the Dancing Bear, they just might book it next year instead of YOU!

Experience how life should be. Fun & Easy!

The unit will accommodate a family with up to 4 kids (if you sleep two of the kids on the sofa sleeper). The maximum number of adults is 4.

About Brian Elliott

Originally from Indiana, I moved to Colorado in 1994 to attend graduate school in Boulder and never left. I have been skiing all over Colorado but enjoy Keystone for its natural feel, long cruisers and unique tree skiing. My wife, Jeannine, and I have two kids ages 10 and 12 and we live in Denver and escape to Summit County to relax and seek adventure. We named this unit the Keystone Dancing Bear because we enjoy dancing ( ballroom) as well as being outdoors around Keystone. The tongue-and-cheek dancing bear wall art follows this theme.

Brian Elliott purchased this condo in 2014

Why Brian Elliott chose Keystone

The Tenderfoot Lodge is ideal for walk-to-lift convenience without the noise of River Run. This unit is larger than most Keystone 2 bedroom condos (it is 1200 sqft), and it has an in-unit washer and dryer. Being one of the only ground floor corner units makes it rather special for Keystone condos. There are very few walk-out units that are close to the lifts.

What makes this condo unique

Walk to lifts, on bike path, in room laundry, corner unit, tons of natural lights, mountain views, river views, hear the sound of the river, underground parking.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

  • 5 of 5

Inside of the condo was comfortable and cute. Plenty of room and everything there you need. Could not have found it better. The view is beautiful and peaceful. Spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch enjoying the view. Brian, the owner, is very easy to work with and he replies back quickly with all answers to any questions. Will definitely be back!!

Great location and very clean.

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The condo was very clean and spacious. It was so nice to be able to open the patio door and let the kids run around and bike outside. The hot tub was steps from the back door. The multi-use path at the bottom of hill was perfect for all of our biking adventures.

Love this condo!!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful condo!! I couldn't wait to open all the blinds every morning to look at the beautiful view! This is a large condo....tons of room at the front door for ski jackets, boots, shoes. Even has a bench so you can sit down and put your ski boots on and off. Lots of counter space in the kitchen for whatever you bring. You won't bring enough to fill up the shelves in the guest bathroom and the location was awesome. We walked to the lift every morning it is maybe a 5 minute walk. We ended up paying to leave our skis at the base cause it was a little hard to carry them back and forth. If you rent from Keystone Sports (Mountain House) you can leave them there every night for free. The hot tub is literally right around the corner from the back patio door. We used it every day! The owner, Brian, is awesome to work with and we will be back for sure!! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the tip on the free overnight ski valet at Keystone Sports (near the Peru Express Lift). I haven't rented gear in a while and wasn't aware of this perk. I have usually recommended Keystone Mountain Sports because they offer discounts online.

Location, location, location

Let me start by saying that the owner, Brian, is phenomenal. He definitely takes pride in service and was always prompt with communicating with me regarding ANY questions/requests we had. The home is beautiful and very comfy. We were 4 adults and had plenty of room. The best part was being able to walk out the back door and within a few minutes (walking) we were at the base of the mountain. If you rent a car, you will enjoy the parking garage. The home was perfect for us and we will be staying there for our future ski trip. Thank you, Brian!

This was our first time as a family in Keystone and we are so grateful we chose this condo! The kids were able to play right outside the door or run to the hot tub. Also, to our surprise the walk to the mountain house and lifts was super easy. We would definitely recommend to everyone looking!
