This home was proudly selected to participate in the Palm Springs' Modernism Week 2015 Signature Home Tour. Hundreds of mid-century architecture enthusiasts toured the home on February 22. We are pleased and honored to have received such phenomenal responses!

Welcome to a home we’re calling ‘Mod’: a newly remodeled mid-century Alexander home in Vista Las Palmas. Inside this quintessential Palm Springs vacation home, you'll find generous room sizes and an open and inviting floor plan; perfectly suited for relaxing and entertaining in high style with several indoor & outdoor lounging, dining and entertainment areas. You are not just renting a home, you are renting your own private retreat with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1,800 sq ft PLUS a huge outdoor patio/living room.

Set back from the street for privacy, it offers dramatic curb appeal.

Dog(s) are welcome but only with prior approval. It is a very secure back yard.


Enter through the front door into a highly-desired open floor plan. Bright and colorful, you cannot help but smile. The great room seamlessly flows into the dining area and chef’s kitchen.

Kitchen/Dining: The spacious upgraded chef’s kitchen with Viking appliances overlooks the dining area with seating for up to 6 guests. Additional countertop seating is available for 4 @ the large kitchen center island. This kitchen has been lovingly stocked with everything you might need to cook any gourmet meal. The dramatic pull-back sliding windows over the sink create a fantastic pass-through for outdoor entertaining and additional counter seating at the outdoor bar.

Living Room: You’ll find plenty of seating for daytime relaxing and entertaining. The sectional does include a queen-sized sofa sleeper (bedding is supplied upon request). A 52" flat screen TV hangs over the distinctive fireplace.

Bedrooms: Every bedroom in this remarkable Palm Springs home has been thoughtfully appointed with quality linens & bedding and elegant little touches every guest will appreciate. Each bedroom offers king-size beds and 40-inch flat screen TV's . To further each guests own private resort experience, every bedroom also features a private patio with stunning mountain views, outdoor showers and private fire pits. The master patio is remarkable in size with plenty more outdoor seating and lounging with a fire pit, too. The master bath features sliders from the shower to a sexy outdoor bathtub and another outdoor shower.

The home is perfect in that there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy each other's company. But, it also offers plenty of private retreat spaces so guests can relax and get some quiet time, too.


This Palm Springs vacation rental has breathtaking mountain views from the front & back yards. The large front courtyard offers built-in bench seating with plenty of cushions and a fire pit. A built-in gas grill, outdoor sink, a mini countertop fire pit and an outdoor bar with pass through from the kitchen makes this home ideal for entertaining outdoors.

Pool: Outdoor living has never been better. The main backyard is private and has a large grassy area next to the pool with hot tub & also offers a large selection of patio furniture including a dining table with seating for 8, plenty of chaise lounges and umbrellas.

A stone’s toss from the pool there is an outdoor living room. This covered area offers plenty of seating for all the guests, fans and misters to keep you cool in the summer and superb lighting for evening cocktails. The property has gorgeous 270 degree views of the Palm Springs Mountains and clear desert sky, throughout the property all outdoor living areas are accented by wonderful lighting, multiple fire pits on all the patios and above the pool which this makes the evening as enjoyable as the day.

Las Palmas is the premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. It’s sometimes referred to as the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Palm Springs. This very affluent neighborhood is rich with architecture and Hollywood history. It should be noted this neighborhood (and the City, too) has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Sinks in master bathroom are not practical. No way to "plug" so when in use, water needs to run all the time. Water flow is also weak.

Should be able to turn off the 3 lights on the master bedroom terrace. High windows have no shades so light shines in at night.

The bedroom doors with translucent panels also let in too much light when hall and other bathroom .lights are on.

beautiful mid century home with all the amenities

Just spent a week here with our daughters, spouses and grandsons. It couldn't have been better! Lots of options for both indoor space and outdoor relaxation. The indoor and outdoor kitchens have everything you need for any kind of cooking. We loved the location to downtown and to the mountains for hiking. We will definitely be back!
