Beautiful cabin! Perfect little get away for winter or summer.
We booked this cabin with another family for a little weekend vacation. We spent the day at the waterpark, then spent the night here. There was a total of 4 adults and 5 children in our group. The kids absolutely loved having their own loft area! Each bed is separated by it's own little cubby within the loft, allowing for privacy as they slept. Downstairs we stayed in the room with a king size bed, en-suite bath, jacuzzi tub, and private deck off the back. The other couple stayed in the room with a queen bed, and used the bathroom off the hallway as their own bathroom. Each child used their respective parent's bathrooms. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, although we couldn't find a pizza slicer. We stopped at a grocery store beforehand, and were able to store food for the couple days in the fridge and freezer. We used the oven, gas stove, and microwave. Everything worked great! There was a large TV in the living area, along with a smaller TV in the loft and in our bedroom. I couldn't find a DVD player, even though it said there was one in the description. There's also only a couple fuzzy channels on the TV, and no WiFi. So the kids played on their devices, and we adults brought games to play in the evening. It was good to disconnect for a bit. Everything was very clean, and the home was really nicely decorated. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was because of the water. It smells so strongly of sulfur, you would think it's being pulled straight out of a sulfur pool. When we ran the dishwasher, we couldn't even stand to be in the kitchen, the smell of rotten eggs was so strong. This was especially disappointing when we went to use the jacuzzi tub. There's no way you could bathe in that water without gagging. Thankfully we had read reviews before hand and knew to bring our own bottled water for drinking and washing/brushing. We accidentally made a pot of coffee with the water, but I researched it and it's still safe to drink, despite the smell. That was absolutely the only negative about our stay! I would definitely recommend this cabin, and plan to book it again the next time we head that way!
I brought my staff there for a weekend away and we had an absolute blast! We had a hard time packing our things because we didnt want to leave! Such a cute cabin! Thanks for the great time! <3 the girls @ Dockside Salon and Day Spa!
We were very happy with the cabin and had a great time! I
It worked great for our large group!
Beautiful and clean - but bad water.
This cabin is squeaky clean and beautiful, but we were dismayed at the state of the water. We were told that the smell was from sulfur in the well water, but none of us had ever smelled well water that smelled like sewage. The five of us didn't shower, wash or brush our teeth with it for 3 days. We even used disposable dinnerware so that we did eat off of dishes that were washed with it. It is such a shame because the cabin and grounds were perfection. However, we will not be going back.
A few issues in the beginning but they were taken care of in a timely matter.
Kids loved their spaces in the loft! Thanks.
Modernization meets nature
It was 11 of us, 6 were kids, and a pomeranian mix. We comfortably fitted in this cabin home with access to all three levels for an additional fee. The accommodations made us feel like we were at home (cook ware, washer/dryer, campfire accessories, etc). Every room had a flat screen TV, but one room didn't have cable cord attachment and the ones that did work had poor reception. The well water took some getting used to, the odor and taste (related to oral hygiene) was not pleasant - I recommend plenty of bottled waters for cooking and dental cleansing. Not having Wi-fi access affected most of us, but AT&T and verizon customers apparently were not affected. I'm sure with minor modifications this could be a 5-star stay, i.e. water filters, cable signaling, etc. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.
