This property is located about 12 miles north of Marinette Wisconsin on the Menominee River. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with about 1500 square feet of living space. There is a spiral staircase going up to the second floor bedroom that has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a screened in porch. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and a kitchen with a breakfast bar and door leading out to a deck with a river view. The house sits on 4 wooded acres and has about 320 feet of river frontage. The house is on a corner, so the river wraps around the house with breathtaking views looking south, east, or west. The fishing is outstanding, with groups sometimes catching 100 Smallmouth Bass fish daily. There are rock outcroppings that extend out from shore, drop-offs, and varying currents everywhere making for an enjoyable fishing experience, especially for people that like to wade. Kayaking and tubing down the river, letting the current take you is also a great activity. We will provide 2 kayaks, a canoe, a non-motorized fishing boat, and some tubes to make your experience on the Menominee river a memorable one.

Plenty of space in the house. Everything was there that you needed. Great property. If I could do half stars it would be 4 1/2.
Beautiful, relaxing weekend away!!1
My husband and I visited this past weekend for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The views were much better than the pictures show, the house was perfect in so many ways! We cooked all our meals at home and just enjoyed our time together. Thank you so much Karen for your hospitality, you really have outdone yourselves on this one! We are hoping to come back in the summertime with the kids and to do some fishing, unfortunately this weekend the water was still a bit too high and too fast but no worries it didn't spoil any part of our weekend! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and just escape from their busy lives!
Karen's place was the serene getaway we all needed. I was bummed that it was cold because the outdoor space was beautiful and I would have otherwise spent all of my time there. Although I did get to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in the sun one morning and it was perfect. That might have been my favorite part next to watching the ice shift on the river (it was way cooler than it sounds) and playing cards on the screened in porch. The sleeping arrangement was a little interesting for 4 couples, but we made it work. We had a blast building fires in the fireplace, playing games, and hanging out around the huge island. We loved all the counter/table space. We never felt cramped, and we had 8 people! We definitely hope to come back sometime when it's warmer so we can enjoy the outdoor space more. But whatever the weather, this place is great!
Wonderful Winter Wind-down
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Very relaxing with the fire, Jacuzzi tub and serene setting. On the day we were to leave, there was a winter storm warning. Karen offered to let us stay an extra night free of charge. She was concerned with our safety. What a wonderful host! We enjoyed all the snow but will be back to enjoy the water.
Been to many VRBO's and this one is high on the list. Communication about arrival and directions clear. Easy to find. Clean and very well stocked. Karen greeted us soon after arrival and called us prior to leaving. She even had her friend help us with snowshoeing places. Her kindness was appreciated. Beautiful location.
A Gem of a Property
This cabin is so warm, cozy and comfortable we hated to leave when our time was up. The property was clean and beautifully appointed. The owner was very gracious and helpful. We CAN'T WAIT to come back in the summer to enjoy this fabulous cabin again and to try our luck at fishing in the river that runs right out front. What a TREASURE this property is and we look forward to another visit.
Fishing on the Menominee River, and relaxing on 4 acres by the campfire with a fantastic waterview are the reasons most people choose to stay at Tinker's Dam. Off the property, there are many activities in the area. There is a wonderful family zoo less than 10 miles away which will not disappoint. Marinette county is the waterfalls capital of Wisconsin, and there is also whitewater rafting in the area.
