Comfy relaxing break.

Just had three nights at Tickle Cottage, the cottage was very clean and comfy. Had a great stay. Pub just around the corner, The Craster Arms, good food and helpful staff. Lovely coastal walks too.

Just lovely!

  • 5 of 5

Booked at the last minute for a three night break, Tracy was so welcoming and helpful. On arrival, the lamps were lit and the cottage was lovely and warm. We were so sorry to leave, this cottage is just lovely! Definitely would like to visit again. Perfect location too! Recommend the Craster Arms...if you would like your food to take back to the cottage, they will do this for you.

Thank you Tracy for a lovely break x

An amazing little cottage - perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed for 5 nights in this wonderful cottage after a last mad dash enquiry to Tracy. Nothing was too much trouble and we managed to book on the Friday and we were in on the Sunday! The log burner was amazing on the cold November nights after a walk on one of the many beautiful beaches. Location is perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast and there are many walks you can do from Beadnell itself.

Would highly recommend the Craster Arms, the Treehouse in Alwnick (book for both - especially on a weekend) and the Kopper Kettle tearooms for food. Although the kitchen in the cottage also has everything you could need to make a yummy meal - even made a full roast dinner!

We shall be back!

Tickle Cottage is a great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Tickle Cottage is well-maintained, clean, welcoming and surprisingly spacious - exactly as it says in the web pages. The owner, Tracy Dodds couldn't have been more helpful from the first and all through our holiday. Beadnell is full of superb restaurants, the Saltwater Cafe tops the list. It's also an ideal base for everywhere in beautiful Northumberland. We ill be back!

A perfect romantic retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Tickle Cottage at the start of October 2013 and we had a fantastic stay. The cottage felt like home; It's very clean and well equiped, the decor and furniture are bright and modern, and it has good wi-fi! The location is ideal for walking to Seahouses, Bamburgh and Newton-by-the-Sea, and it's just a short drive away from Holy Island and Alnwick. For food we would recommend an evening meal at The Treehouse Restaurant in Alnwick Garden (but book your table and taxi in advance!) and Sunday lunch at the Joiners Arms in Newton-by-the-Sea, just a 50-60 min walk from the cottage along St Oswald's Way.

Perfect for a Romantic Escape (even with kids)!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 young boys for a week in August and had a most wonderful stay. The cottage is so beautifuly decorated and well equipped, every little thing is carered for, from milk and a bottle of wine waiting for you on arrival to a box of toys and DVDs and books for entertainment.

What drew me to it was the picture of the wondferful attic bedroom with huge bed and free-standing roll top bath in the corner of the room and flat screen tv over the fireplace. It looked just like a boutique hotel and lived up to my expectations. Our boys twin bedroom was away from us downstairs, making them feel "grown up" and gave us the privacy for a lovely romantic break (something you value and that is quite hard to find with young children!).

The little backyard is perfect for a chilled glass of wine in the sun while the boys played with the skittles provided, or if it's cold the logburner is set and ready to light in the comfy front room

The setting is great, a few minutes from a beautiful beach, around the corner from the lovely Craster Arms pub with a great child and dog friendly beer garden, and near a great little chippy. There are so many fabulous castles nearby with Bamburgh and Alnwick and the beautiful walk out to Dunstanburgh castle is a must.

We are definitely going back next year - a real home from home.

Beadnell Harbour walls built in 1790's where the lime kilns of that date still remain, excellent sandy beaches and safe yachting in wide Beadnell Bay. Some of best diving/ailing on the coast is said to be here. Beadnell is mid way along heritage coast, scenic walks along the coast to Newton by the Sea, spectacular ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, then on to Craster for kippers. Alnwick, Bamburgh, Warkworth castles all within short distance, visit Alnwick Garden and dine in the tree house. Berwick Border town, Chillingham Castle, Etal Miniture railway, Floors castle all within 20 mile radius are just a few of so many wonderful things on your doorstep.

Other Activities: Crazy Golf, swimming pool and spa, coastal walks
