About the property

1 Bedroom with Office ( twin daybed), 1 Bathroom

This wonderful and private space is located in a serene lower level of a view home overlooking the Puget Sound, neighboring islands and the Olympic Mountain range. If the patio and beautiful garden grounds and setting don't take you on a mini-vacation, then perhaps the quaint sea-side town of Edmonds will captivate you. Either way, this calming space has the Zen you need. The main bedroom has a nice view, while the 2nd room is a very large office but could be used as a bedroom which includes a twin daybed. This is a great private work space. The kitchen has everything you need, plus a large dining area open to the living room. , There is one bathroom with a spacious shower. There is also a stackable washer and dryer on the same level in a semi-shared area (meaning there are owners storage also in this space). This is a very calming environment -- clean, well appointed, home away from home -- very private, looking out over the large back yard greenery and water view beyond. Stay a week or stay a month, you’ll love it either way…

Cautionary Note: Rustic entry includes uneven stepping stones with steps and a patio that's not perfectly even. It makes rolling luggage quite bumpy. Please watch your step! :)

For those who are working or playing on the Eastside, Seattle or up north, or anywhere in-between, you'll love this centralized private paradise where it serves as a jumping off point for meetings East, North or South on I5 - Even West on the Peninsula is convenient with the Kingston Ferry less than 2 miles away. Then, relax each night a watch the gorgeous sunset on the patio. You'll love the Zen feel of this space as an escape or just a comfortable landing for exploring our fabulous Northwest's many adventures. San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, the Olympic Peninsula, Vancouver B.C. all within a couple hours drive.

The small town of Edmonds has many fabulous restaurants, shops and is a nice 1.5 mile walk or short drive or bike ride. The Saturday Markets are not to be missed, and the Third-Thursday Art Walks are a superb! You will love this space - a quiet and serene paradise but central to all the Northwest has to offer.

If this space is booked, I also rent the upstairs (one bedroom, one bath). My private living space is adjacent to this space, which is not open or shared in any way with guests to but adapted for guests to enjoy a one bedroom, one bath, beautifully appointed homes with deck and views to die for...

About Teena Christel

I bought this house with a minor remodel in mind... famous last words, right? I ended up rebuilding the entire house. Such fun and so tough all at the same time. :) I have painstakingly added my unique touch to each space and the yard. Although far from perfect, it's my little paradise.

I'm a proud grandma, small business owner, and just learning to express my creative side through drawing and painting, which you will see displayed in a variety of ways. I love to travel, so meeting all the wonderful people each month is part of the fun.

Teena Christel purchased this house in 2006

Why Teena Christel chose Edmonds

Mostly the privacy and serenity, but certainly the view - not too big, not too small. Spacious but still efficient. Just perfect for me.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location. Edmonds is the sweetest little town on it's own - seriously. You'll love the small seaside town feel. But on a larger scale, it's a fantastic central location and landing place to explore the great Pacific Northwest. The Eastside (Redmond, Bellevue, Woodinville wineries & Bothell) are all minutes away, Seattle and it's eclectic magnetism is just 40 minutes south. To the north you have a multitude of day trips to places like LaConnor, San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Bellingham, Vancouver B.C., Leavenworth, Cascade Loop Highway is a gorgeous drive. And to the south there's Portland and Mt. Rainier. The West is one of my favorite places on earth -- the Olympic Peninsula by ferry, Anacortes, Port Townsend, the Rain Forest and amazing beauty. But don't forget our very own Eastern Washington with small town charm such as CleElum and Ellensburg and the gorgeous Cascade Mountain range and beyond you'll find some of the best wineries around. Don't forget the beautiful Palouse Falls

The Sound

We had a great time even though we had some rain throughout the 4 days. The home is beautiful and you can get very comfortable in the big living room. We enjoyed a cookout on the patio enjoying the wind chimes and the view.
