The home is located in Norton Commons, one of the most prestigious East end areas of Louisville and within minutes of fine shopping, golf and tennis. This home was completed and included in the 2014 Norton Common's Charity Home show. In addition to the residences, this planned community includes boutique shops, restaurants and bars, several parks, swimming pools, green spaces and a new amphitheater. The YMCA sits adjacent to the development.

The main floor has 2 bedrooms/2 baths with a large open floor plan with an enclosed patio and fireplace. The large, beautiful kitchen is fully stocked.

There is a finished basement with another bed/bath and bar. Rental for this space can also be discussed.

This craftsman style home was designed with a patio off the kitchen area that with motorized screens that will extend the living space most all year round. It's a great way to be outside, yet maintain a level of privacy to enjoy the seasons.

We love this community! The community has scheduled activities, unique shopping, and the friendliest people you will ever meet! It also has pools play areas,amphitheater, parks. Sidewalks run throughout the neighborhood that allows you to walk or jog to most businesses or offices. It also is next to the YMCA that will allow day visits for a fee!

Perfect for families!

This rental was perfect for hosting my grandmother's 95th birthday party. Beautiful and spacious, all the essentials were located on a single level making it easily accessible for older individuals while keeping everyone in view. There's a playground for youngsters. The neighborhood is safe and quaint. We are so very thankful for the host for sharing her home..our family reunion was such a memorable success!

Lovely and Spacious

We rented this home for a long weekend while attending wedding festivities in Prospect. This home FAR EXCEEDED our expectations!!! The home itself is lovely, well-appointed, and has so much more space than the photos really show. We were absolutely delighted. In addition, the location is convenient to everything a person could possibly need. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and has a lot of paths for walking/running/strolling.

Kentucky Derby Crew

We had a wonderful stay at this home during the Kentucky Derby. The accommodations were spectacular with several entertainment areas. We mostly hung out in the spacious screened in porch playing card games and drinking mint juleps while enjoying a very comfortable outdoor fireplace. We were pleasantly surprised by the Norton Commons community. There were several bars and restaurants blocks away from our house. The girls could also walk to get their nails done. Tanya was a fantastic host and accommodated every need. If we ever come back to the Derby we will stay here again. Cheers!

Beautiful, comfortable home!

This is the 2nd year we have stayed here and always love it! Perfect for family gatherings. Love the neighborhood with shopping and restaurants in walking distance as well as many parks. The owners are super nice and helpful. We had a couple minor plumbing issues and they took care of it right away. Even gave us a gift card to a local pub for any inconvenience, which totally wasn't necessary! We will always stay here when we visit Louisville!

DON'T STAY HERE.

DON'T STAY HERE: 1) Horrible sagging mattress on Master bed. It's an air bed. The one side had the inability to hold air. The motor would randomly turn on without anyone being in the room; a little creepy. I have photos of the deep swag (like a hammock), 2) difficult to receive pertinent information a day prior to arriving (how to enter house, house address and how to find garage; rear drive -which wasn't disclosed, 3) didn't receive WIFi password (when asked for WIFI password after we arrived - it was wrong), 4) very dirty hardwood floors (we tried to vacuum but vacuum was broken so we swept and mopped the floors but floors were still filthy), 5) broken ice machine, 6) plugged kitchen sink and finally, 7) BAD, ANGRY & SNARKY ATTITUDE from homeowners. This was the worst. Our first day, we arrived late in the dark & we didn't use the kitchen. The following day we didn't use the kitchen until late in the evening. We started to prepare for a family party slated for next day. As soon as we started using the water, we noticed the water wasn't draining & we also noticed the ice machine sounded as though water was continuously running. We hadn't used the garburator, ice machine, sink or dishwasher up to this point. The water in the sink was rising up so we had no choice but to grab pitcher's and start scooping the water out of the sink. Then the pressure from the excess water caused the plumbing below to leak to the point of massive dripping. Again we had to rush around the house seeking whatever we could to protect their home from water damage. We notified owners. They sent over a family member that turned off all the water to the house. It was now midnight. We waited - with no water - until the plumber arrived. The plumber left around 2am. We NEVER asked the Owner for a discount or compensation for having to deal with this in their home. We did everything to protect their property. However, we had hoped they had grace, honor and kindness after this incident & perhaps offer something - anything - to show respect & concern about our experience since we lost precious time as it was our daughter's wedding! Instead, here is in part, the message received from the Owner in response to the broken air bed and the plumbing fiasco the next day, "if you find that the property is not up to your standards, I'd certainly entertain an early checkout with an appropriate refund". There was no apology, empathy or compensation just a unjust bitter & angry note.

We’ve decided to let our 7 year history of multiple property ownership with VRBO tell our story. With the exception of this review, the property has never received anything less than a 5 STAR review since it was built new in 2014. We strive to provide an exceptional level of service to all guests. In this case, we tried to respond timely to the numerous requests/issues (rate discounts, more people in the property that originally disclosed, clogged sink disposal, etc.). This guest arrived the same day as the previous guest checked out who gave a 5 STAR review as well as writing that they would definitely rent again. The house is always professionally cleaned between guests. Regrettably, in this case we just couldn’t do enough to please the guest. We hope all future guests will take the time to read the numerous 5 STAR reviews on this property and consider staying with us when in Louisville.
