I was born and raised in Thomasville, I have raised my children here and had a very successful restaurant and now as my 2nd career have an fabulous architectural salvage and design shop located directly across the street from the apartment.
Melissa Rigsby purchased this apartment in 2013
This property is the gateway to the new arts district in the downtown area. The property was formerly an animal hospital on the ground floor with apartments upstairs. Unfortunately the property became an eyesore for several years and I was looking for a project. I have always loved this building, the property and the fact it has 3 incredible oak trees on the property. I am still dying to hang an awesome ornament in the tree in the front!! When you see my shop you will know what I mean. There are actually 4 apartments located upstairs, 2 are rented unfurnished on a yearly basis and there are 2 fully furnished (from my antique shop) VRBO.
The location to the downtown area and the convenience is very sought after. You only have one turn to make to drive to Tallahassee Fla and our beautiful beaches. We are surrounded by the most beautiful plantations.
Nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. Very convenient! I'm sure we will be return customers.
Absolutely the perfect place to stay ... so comfortable for us all! We were in town for a family wedding and were able to walk to the church and the reception ... as well as walk to shopping and dinner. Would definitely rent this unit again... Thanks!!!
The apartment on Fletcher St. exceeded our expectations. The place was very clean and had everything you could ask for. Owner is extremely nice and easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend.
My daughter and I recently spent 13 days here and loved it! The apartment is well located just a block from the shops and restaurants "on the bricks." The apartment has 2 spacious bedrooms and baths, a terrific kitchen and great family/den area. The rooms are tastefully decorated with lovely antique and vintage furnishings, which give the place a lot of charm. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences, and the beds and linens are fresh and comfortable. If you are looking for an alternative to a hotel stay, this is your place!
This is a great 2 BR 2 BA apartment just a block from main street of Thomasville. There are great restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores and clothing boutiques within walking distance. Every room is recently tastefully decorated. The owner has a great store across the street "Relics", make sure to pay a visit for some unusual finds. We had read about noise from the nearby train track but only heard it once in the evening and once in the morning, not during the night, don't let it stop you from renting this great apartment.
This newly renovated urban apartment is located in the soon to be arts district of Thomasville. Directly across the street is Studio 209, which is the Adult Art Studio for the Thomasville Center for the Arts, home of Flaunt, Due South, Plantation Wildlife Festival. Also across the street is the best Architectural Salvage and Design store, Relics. One block from your door is the downtown which is renowned for the unique shop, restaurants, and southern hospitality. Immerse yourself in the history of Thomasville by visiting the Thomas County Historical Society Museum, The Lapham Patterson House, Pebble Hill Plantation, Jack Hadley Black History Museum, and the Chamber of Commerce Driving Tour. Whether you are coming for a specific event, just to escape the hustle of big city life, or to care for an elderly parent, you will enjoy the convenience and comfort of this beautifully furnished apartment during your stay.
