Guestbook comments from the owner

Just packing up after a lovely birthday weekend! Your home is just fabulous, so cozy and well appointed. We spent a day in Point Reyes Station and took a couple of gorgeous runs around the area! Those Highland cows are too cute! Can't wait to come back.

A lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property a couple of days and we absolutely loved it. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and a large dining table. We also loved the outdoor space - a large backyard for our dog to enjoy and a comfortable deck. We had a great time!

Very pleasant stay in Tomales

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home in Tomales with another couple in mid-April. We were completely satisfied with our choice. The home is much more spacious than it looks from the street and has three very nicely furnished bedrooms with comfortable beds. It worked well for us, but I think it would be a push for three couples because there is only one full bath adjacent to one of the bedrooms and another bedroom has an en suite half bath. The common area is open to the kitchen and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and perfect for us as we all like to cook. There wasn't anything that we lacked in preparing meals. We enjoyed the chickens and the owl in the owl box. The owner is gracious and very responsive. We all thought that the owner had done a wonderful job of keeping an "old time" feel with the exterior of the house while making wise use of some more contemporary, comfortable furniture inside.

We enjoyed hiking at Bear Valley in Pt. Reyes and Bodega Head. There's not much to do in Tomales itself but we did enjoy the historical museum in part of the old high school and the antique shop. We had a good meal at Nick's Cove. We plan to return.

Lovely home - comfortable and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the home very much! it was a perfect spot for us to explore the many beautiful spots in the area. The pizza oven, outdoor shower and chickens added to charm. The house is well equipped for cooking and very comfortable for relaxing after a full day of exploring.

Back for More

  • 5 of 5

Once again we throughly enjoyed our stay at this awesome Tomales house. About a 3 minute walk to the bakery, cafe, and restaurant and a short ride to Valley Ford, Bodega, and Freestone, this house is in the perfect location. The house was clean and the large yard in the back was perfect for our dog to run around while we sat by the fire pit and enjoyed a cocktail. The kitchen is well stocked and Catherine and Lisa were very responsive to any questions and even went out of their way to return an earring my wife lost. Highly recommend!

Charming, friendly house in a small town

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples and a baby staying in this home. We had a really lovely time here. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the open kitchen and living space made it easy to socialize and enjoy ourselves. Many naps were enjoyed on the cozy couch and easy chair. The kitchen had everything necessary to prep vacation meals. We enjoyed using the spacious outdoor shower and also gave the pizza oven a whirl. The chickens were great neighbors. A nearby corner store provided extra necessities. We felt very much at home here, and hope to come stay again soon.

Best getaway in Northern California

  • 5 of 5

Girls getaway fall trip! The Tomales house is so comfortable you won't want to leave. But you are just a short drive away from so many diverse experiences. Cheese and wine tasting! Cowgirl creamery is a must and even better if you can take a class. The Point Reyes Lighthouse, BBQ oysters, kayaking and beautiful drives and hikes along the bay. We loved the area and hope to stay here again soon!
