Welcome to San Clemente’s Tropical Treasure!

Walk to the beach, shops and restaurants from this luxurious, tropical Spanish Mediterranean style, 3.5 bedroom/3 bathroom, two story single-family home in the greatest neighborhood in San Clemente. This bright, airy, family friendly home is walking distance to the beach, San Clemente pier and only one block from our charming downtown area which features boutique shops and quaint restaurants.

The home can sleep up to 10 comfortably and is spacious enough to host a single couple, family or multiple families making it a very AFFORDABLE VACATION RETREAT away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 


Total of 3.5 Bedrooms.

2 bedrooms are located downstairs. The 1st bedroom features a California king size bed and French glass doors opening to the back yard. The 2nd master bedroom downstairs contains a full-size murphy bed, ensuite bathroom featuring an antique sink with a bathtub/shower and French glass doors opening to the backyard. In between both bedrooms is the 2nd bathroom furnished with a classic porcelain, claw foot tub /shower with an antique sink and vanity. The 3rd bedroom is another Master bedroom and is located upstairs featuring a king size bed, wood beamed ceiling with ceiling fan, fireplace, wall mounted flat screen TV and DVD player and walk in closet. Down the hall within the master bedroom is a beautiful cherry wood built in office furnished with a full size murphy bed murphy bed and futon that will allow another 4 people to sleep if needed. The upstairs master bedroom also features a large wrap around patio area featuring two sets of glass French doors, a peek a boo view of the ocean and a table and chairs to enjoy the ocean air. The large upstairs master bathroom offers an extra deep Jacuzzi style tub to soak your cares away, separate walk in shower, and double sink vanity.

Kitchen: A fully outfitted, gourmet style large kitchen with and oversized island open to the living room is every chef’s dream with tons of counter space, a Viking range, two ovens, a microwave and double sink with corner windows and more. The dining area features floor to ceiling windows with French doors leading to the back yard and a working potbelly stove that heats the downstairs area quickly. A glass top round dining table with wicker base and chairs seats four and more can be accommodated in four high wicker chairs that pull up to a large counter space.

Living Room: Couch, coffee table, double-sided gas fireplace, 60” adjustable Cable TV and DVD player (with surround sound). Wi Fi is also included and a telephone for local calls only.

The home is appointed with Tommy Bahama style furnishings throughout. A wine storage pantry is located off the living room just behind library nook. The library nook features two cozy chairs with ottomans to relax in and cozy up with a good book. There are also games for the family to enjoy.

Outdoors: Large Front Yard Patio: Located off the kitchen featuring a large round table that seats 8 chairs along with reclining chairs to enjoy the sun. With a large stainless gas barbecue and soothing wall fountain, the patio is perfect for hosting a romantic dinner for two wishing to dine ‘al fresco’ or entertaining your entire family and friends with an old fashioned barbecue after a relaxing day at the beach.

Backyard: A giant forest of clumping bamboo with lush, tropical landscaping envelops the backyard. A relaxing spa, cozy fire pit and tiki torches complete the scene. A large couch with ottomans is located in front of fire pit and next to the Jacuzzi. In addition there is another patio area featuring a small table and 4 chairs. This outdoor retreat is perfectly sized for outdoor dining and entertaining and equally flexible for a day of private tanning, reading your favorite book, or just letting the kids run around.

Private Washer/Dryer: is located inside the home in a separate room that features a small kitchenette supplied with iron, ironing board and laundry supplies.

Parking: Garage parking for 2 SUV sized automobiles. Maximum parking is only 2 vehicles.

Toys: Beach Toys, Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards, Beach Umbrella, Cooler and a convenient beach wagon to tote them all to the beach

PET POLICY: Small, well behaved, non-shedding dogs are allowed. Please submit for approval prior to reservation. Additional $500 deposit is required and an additional $50 Cleaning fee.

MANAGEMENT: Very clean and professionally managed. You will be greeted at the house upon check in to be shown the house and the neighborhood. Available 24/7 for any questions, issues or concerns that come up during your stay. Also there is a concierge service if you wish to indulge.

SUITABILITY: Non-Smoking home. Must have an adults staying at the house during the term of the lease.

LOCATION: The home is freeway close and just a few minutes drive to the historic San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point and the Dana Point Harbor, and the World famous Laguna Beach. 

In all of these notable areas you’ll find antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries just waiting to be discovered. It is also within 30 to 45 minutes from Disneyland, Legoland, and Knott’s Berry Farm, and Orange County Airport and 60 minutes from Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and San Diego Wild Animal Park, and Los Angeles Airport. 

Our temperate climate is GREAT for any BEACH SIDE outdoor activity including hiking, biking, golf, tennis, basketball, fishing, horseback riding, sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling / diving, boating, sailing, water skiing, surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing, boating, and rafting. 


Within a 30 minute drive in either direction you will find the world renowned South Coast Plaza, Irvine Spectrum, Fashion Island in Newport Beach, and a slew of Outlet Malls in Carlsbad and Oceanside. There are live theatres, cinemas, museums, petting zoos, and much, much more. 

A beautiful, new aquatic center with a kids’ pool play area is located approximately two miles north. Dana Point Harbor offers whale watching, stand up paddle boarding, boating, restaurants and more. The historic San Juan Capistrano Mission and the city of San Juan Capistrano offer beautiful historic tours. Both are a short ten-minute drive to the north. 

San Clemente is conveniently located between San Diego and Los Angeles for many Southern California attractions. Laguna Beach lies 12 miles north on famed PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy). Disneyland is approximately 30 minutes to the north, or visit Lego-Land in Carlsbad 30 minutes to the south. The world famous San Diego Zoo and Sea World lie 60 minutes to the south.

Great family home

We spent our family Thanksgiving here and it was perfect. Clean and well appointed with an excellent contact person ready to help with anything we might need. The location is ideal and we took many walks to the beach and downtown. We hope to return!

Happy to Add Another 5-Star Review

Great house, excellent location, walkable down to beach and pier and up to shopping/dining areas of town. We were two grandparents, two parents, and three children age 12-15. House exceeded expectations in terms of sheer size and spaciousness of rooms, overall comfort. The construction and layout allow for internal noise control and privacy. It's clean, nicely furnished, and fully equipped with modern all needed appliances and cooking ware. The kitchen and eating areas and spacious, including very ample balcony on street side. The multilevel back yard is large beautifully landscaped with gardens, and wonderfully suitable for gathering the family or just finding a nice private place to sit and read. The garage actually does hold 2 cars. The little pull wagon for getting beach equipment down to the beach is a nice touch. The first floor (of two floors) is up a full set of steps, raising the living areas well above street level, placing the house above the ones next door. This adds to the sense of privacy, gives a bit extra access to the breezes, and a bit of a view of the ocean from the upstairs. One caveat is the need to be able to get up and down stairs.

Awesome, Beautiful Tropical Paradise

My family and I stayed a week and it was comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved sitting in the hot tub among the tropical landscaping. I love flowers and there were plenty surrounding the property. We found all kinds of neat nooks and cranny's to sit in and relax. It was beautiful sitting out front on the deck and relaxing with the cool ocean breeze. Close to nice shops and restaurants. Quick walk to the beach and pier. The restaurant on the pier served excellent food. Would definitely recommend this house. Looking forward to more vacations in this house in San Clemente.

Awesome CA Vacation

My family and my sister's family had a wonderful vacation staying at the Tropical Treasure. We have visited San Clemente many times before but this was our first time staying in a house near the beach. The home was very comfortable and we were most impressed with the well stocked kitchen and awesome outside living areas. Also – we really appreciated all the beach toys, towels, chairs etc considering we flew to CA and could not have easily brought these things with us. Being so close to the shops and restaurants was great and access to the beach and pier was easy. All in all it was a memorable week!

Family Gathering & Memorial for My Mom

East Coast Family Meets back up with West Coast Family. I lived in SC with my mom and brothers many years ago. She recently passed and I wanted to come back to the place where we had so many happy times. This was the first time I would be back with my three kids and husband. I wanted to show them this amazing beach town. My dad and brother and their wives were able to come down for a few nights as well. The house is amazing, you can feel it is special from the minute you open up the gate from the street. Great location, great layout. Garage parking a plus and also an Orange tree. Everything about it says, "I feel at home" The layout of the house is spacious and has room for gathering on the deck in front, but yet has some "quiet" spots as well. Close to Del Mar street and a quick walk down to the pier. We will be back. Thank you to Brenda who was so helpful and professional and to the owners who made sure we had all of our needs met.
