High quality condo property
We had a great two week stay at the Grand Mayan. The resort is huge and offers plenty of amenities including numerous restaurants which were all reasonable quality. Shuttles run between the three separate resorts though walks are manageable. The unit is large, comfortable and clean. Our only quibble was the absence of a dishwasher in the kitchen. Service was friendly though slow at times, particularly the check in process, however no more so than our other experiences vacationing in Mexico ;). Setting up the stay with the owner was pleasant and effortless. Highly recommended.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words about the booking process. I"m glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the property to be easy to navigate. Feel free to reach out if you want to return to this resort or visit any of my other vacation rental properties in Mexico or elsewhere. Best, David
Amazing, beautiful and luxurious!
My family had a pretty strict budget for our 2 week vacation to Puerto Vallarta and we worked with David to book our trip to the Grand Mayan in June. He was very helpful and communicative. When we arrived, we were upgraded to the Grand Luxxe which was BEAUTIFUL and amazing. We enjoyed ourselves so much at this property - the staff was lovely, the pools were incredibly beautiful, warm and clean. We were shuttled everywhere on the little golf carts. The restaurants were all great (though a bit overpriced). The beach was nice (though we preferred the pools at the Punta and Luxxe I).
The only downside to our stay was the SUPER PUSHY sales staff - we agreed to the "1 hour presentation" which ended up being 5 hours - we had to insist somewhat aggressively that we were done with them and that we had essentially wasted one day of our vacation listening to them try and sell us a time share. Richard (our sales guy) was nice enough, but he kept bringing in "closers" to try and push the sale which got very annoying. I am fine with the fact that we agreed to it when we were upgraded, but don't believe them when they tell you it's only an hour.
Otherwise, I would happily return to this resort and most definitely would work with David again. We felt so pampered and taken care of the entire time. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the kind words - I'm really glad that you enjoyed your vacation at the property. Regarding the presentation, I always try to tell my guests that accepting an upgrade or other perks offered is totally up to them and if they prefer not to sit through a presentation, they just need to politely say no and that should be the last they hear of it. Many guests who do decide to attend the presentation in return for an upgrade or other extra benefits usually find it to be a worthwhile experience given the value of the benefits received (the upgrade itself is worth a few hundred dollars in value) and some actually end up becoming members. I'm sorry that the actual presentation took longer than expected, but I'm happy to hear you say that you had such a great time otherwise and that you would be interested in returning. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you again in the future if you want to return to this resort or visit any of my other vacation properties in Cancun/Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Mazatlan or Puerto Penasco. I hope you have a great rest of the summer.
Situated on Mexico's Pacific coast, Nuevo Vallarta is nestled along the Bahía de Banderas, one of the world's largest natural bays, and surrounded by the lush green jungle vegetation of the Sierra Madre mountain peaks. It's an area known for its natural beauty, wide beaches with fine white sand, and unique flora and fauna including humpback whales and sea turtles. Nuevo Vallarta has beautiful weather year-round, and the water temperature is just perfect for a refreshing dip that cools you off when you're out under the hot Mexican sun. Gentle ocean breezes caress the skin and warm nights invite you to enjoy the open air at all hours. The average summer temperature is 85 °F; and in winter it's 75 °F.
