Located on the west shore of Lake Gogebic between Marenisco and Bergland in the western end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, this two bedroom cabin has a modern bathroom, full kitchen and deck all within 50 feet of the shoreline. With a queen size bed in one bedroom, a full size bed in the other bedroom and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room, this cabin can accommodate six adults.
Lake Gogebic, with 13,380 acres and over 36 miles of shoreline, is the largest inland lake in the U.P. and is located within the 1 million acre Ottawa National Forest. The lake offers great swimming, skiing and boating activities, but most visitors enjoying the excellent fishing for walleye, perch, small mouth bass and northerns.
The area offers abundant wildlife, with white tail deer, black bear and ruffed grouse leading the list. Close by attractions include the many waterfalls along the Black River National Scenic Byway, Copper Peak, the Sylvania Wilderness Area, the Cisco Chain of Lakes, the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park and the scenic shores of Lake Superior.
