This cozy cottage/cabin style house is located in the Curtis Park Historic District. It is just a three block walk to Downtown/LODO/RiNo (River Art District) and great restaurants . There is also the convenience of a new train that takes you to the 38th Blake terminal, from there it is just a two minutes drive from the light rail station to the house, where if you like, I can pick you up and bring you to the home. If you are just planning on renting a car from the airport, then of course, all this makes no difference anyway...

The home is privately nestled in the trees. There is also a light rail station two blocks from the house which takes you into the heart of downtown and 16th Street Mall in under two minutes. The house is within walking distance to Denver's great restaurant's breweries, dispensaries, and a stone's throw from City Park and Zoo, major hospitals, art and natural history museums, coffee shops, Coors Field and Mile High Stadium, Pepsi Center, Denver's Botanical Gardens, Convention Center, Elitch Gardens and more.

The home is equipped with flat panel TV's in each room including the kitchen. Comcast cable,180 channels (HD) and high speed internet (WIFI) are both available.

There are new hard wood floors through out the house, air conditioning, ceiling fans, washer and dryer, gas fireplace and a wonderful king size bed with a ceiling fan above. There is also an electric twin size air mattress that can be used in the living room. The neighborhood and block is comprised of upscale Victorian homes in the Curtis Park Historical District. The front yard is enclosed by a wrought iron fence (lockable) and a wood privacy fence and courtyard in back. There is also free street parking available in front of the house.

Great House!

This house was perfect for us. Great sleeping. Great shower. TV's in three rooms and truthfully, sitting in the kitchen at the breakfast counter enjoying coffee and the morning news was fun. We would definitely choose this VRBO again as it was close to downtown restaurants, museums, and everything else we wanted to visit. We actually forgot a suit bag and Don Fedexed it to us. He was great -- showed us everything. It was raining while we were there so we did not use the outside area but it is so pleasant and private -- maybe next time!

Great Place to stay for couples

My wife and I were going to Denver for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This house is like a cozy cabin right in the middle of the city. Very private and wonderfully accommodated. Great location for exploring Denver. It was perfect for two. We would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again ourselves.

Quiet and cozy in the middle of the city.

This house was perfect for us! The neighborhood is quiet and comfortable. We were able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, venues and shopping. The parking was surprisingly good and we always found a spot directly in front of the home when we did drive, which wasn't often. The house itself has a cozy mountain cabin feeling and is tucked behind some trees. There are nice outside sitting areas and the inside was clean and comfortable. The bed is huge and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the home and I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Denver. I would also recommend it to others. Don was friendly and easy to get a hold of. Thank you for letting us stay at your home, Don. We had a great time!

I'd stay again but...

Good area of town and decent house, but lighting was a bit of and issue and the kitchen was not very functional in regards to the layout. In addition, the owner showed up unannounced wanting to come in and check the place. I had done one load of laundry and he got on me about emptying the lent and was super anal about everything that we had used or were planning on using. It just made us feel a little uncomfortable and unwelcome feeling. I'd stay there again but privacy is a big thing for me.

Owner's Response: I allowed the guest when they arrived to let themselves in with a lock box key. When I came to greet them a few days later I saw soaking wet towels sitting in a pile on the front porch. I rang the door bell and introduced myself and asked them if there had been some type of flood. They said no, that they were just doing laundry and the wet towels were from there car they had driven from Texas . I politely asked them if I could come in to turn off the pilot light in the fireplace and they said they no, they first had to clean the house up. Ten minutes later I walk in and the house is a complete mess and it appears one person is sleeping on the floor using pillows from the couch. I said please clean out the lent tray because the dryer will work better and that is all I said...I then left the house after turning off the pilot light. I never mentioned, even once, not to use anything ....that is completely false...Their choice of words and events reflect their true demeanor ... Nothing else need be said.

Great stay - great location

Thanks Don - really enjoyed my stay. The bed was wonderful, and the multiple flat screen TV's throughout was great too. The home was so close to downtown that I had no problem walking to many things. I definitely plan to stay again next time I come to Denver.

Extraordinary value. Best Deal in the area.

The house has exceptional furnishings (plants, pictures, etc); very cozy and comfortable. The bed is very large and comfortable. Main living area, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen are all well-kept and clean. The house is exactly as it is shown in the listing's photographs. There are no unwelcome surprises.

The owner is very friendly and responds to emails very quickly. It was a pleasure to work with a property owner with who was so professional. He definitely takes care of his renters.

The location of the house is the best selling point. You are in a quiet neighborhood, but still on only a few minutes from downtown. The LightRail station is just a 2-3 minute walk and can take you smack into the middle of downtown. Walking to the Lodo area takes about 10-15 minutes. If you're tired of walking, a cab ride back home from the north part of downtown is only about $5. You are staying in a serene location and only a few minutes to all the action. It's a great combination.

The find of the trip was a small mom & pop Mexican restaurant called Taqueria Emmanuel that is a 5 minute walk towards downtown (Corner of Stout street and Park Ave). It's nothing special to look at, but the Mexican food is awesome and authentic. They even have Philly cheese steaks which were also great.

This house was well worth money. I would (and will) recommend this place to anyone.
