What makes this house unique

I know you will enjoy the architecture this home has to offer. there are 2 fireplace on the first floor and 3 on the 2nd floor which add interesting architectural element to the home. I enjoy relaxing on the back porch listening to the sounds of the steam boats whistling along the Mississippi River.

The best 25th birthday !

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely home. Very clean and spacious. It was only 9 of us so we had more than enough space. The home is really pretty just like the pictures. They have everything you need to cook, enough towels and wash clothes etc etc. We was able to cook breakfast with no problem. The beds were comfortable too ! We enjoyed ourselves very much! The ferry was very convenient. I could go on and on about how pretty this home was! Very authentic :) Thank you so much for opening up your home to us!

SATISFIED

  • 5 of 5

ME PLUS 7 STAYED AT THE HISTORIC HOME. NO PROBLEMS WITH ENTERING HOME. EVERYTHING WAS UP TO DATE. WE WERE ABLE TO CHECK IN EARLY WITH NO PROBLEM CAUSE OF EALIER FLIGHTS. EVERYONE WAS COMFORTABLE. PLENTY OF ROOM. WE USED THE FERRY ALOT TO GO TO CANAL/FRENCH QUARTER. NICE RESTAURANT AND FEW BARS IN ALGIERS POINTE THAT WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE IF YOU DIDN'T FEEL LIKE THE CROWD SCENE. OVERALL WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN.

Beautiful, historical home, perfect for a weekend girls getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The girls and I absolutely enjoyed this home during our stay. It was so convenient for all of our "tourist-ing" needs and the perfect amount of space with the perfect amount of bathrooms for 12 girls! I will definitely stay again if I can. Such a beautiful home with super comfy beds! Can't find that everywhere! :)

True to Form

  • 5 of 5

The home is true to form and aligns well with the description, photos and other details provided. It is a historic, older home that has been well maintained. What you see in this description is what you will get. Just ensure that everyone in your group has realistic expectations before they arrive. Layout is probably better for family members and very close friends since downstairs bedrooms / bathrooms have a bit less privacy than upstairs. Jami was very responsive to our needs and I would recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your 5 star review. Yes, The bedrooms that are downstairs have doors for privacy but you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the common area/kitchen. This home used to be a bed and breakfast with a private suite. The house is very spacious. Future guest: if you have any questions about the layout of the home please contact me, I'll be happy to explain. Jami

What a wonderful vacation and a great house

  • 4 of 5

This was a great vacation, the house was perfect, very relaxing and a close walk to the ferry. We had everything we needed in the house and the 11 of us from Arkansas, Florida and Seattle had a wonderful time. The only issues we had were not a big deal and we just worked around them, one of the fire alarms was beeping every 5 minutes because it needed new batteries and the upstairs bath had no water pressure for a shower but there were two other bathrooms. I would recommend this house to my friends.

Thank You

Karen Oxx

Nice place, plenty of room and quiet neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay, just blocks from the ferry to New Orleans. It is nice to have New Orleans but when you are ready to get to some place quiet and out of the hustle and bustle jump on the ferry and you are there.

We are from a small town so the noise and crowds are not what we are used to. Jami, your place was clean and had plenty of room and bathrooms for our whole family. We enjoyed the stay and will rent again.
