Reviews

The Empire State building is just down the street.

The owner of the apartment met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the unit, which was larger than I had imagined (and from what I've seen, a NY rarity). The layout provided plenty of space for me and my two daughters. The private back patio/garden was the perfect spot for enjoying our morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Having two bathrooms was an extra plus for the three of us ladies. The unit was clean, well stocked with linens, pillows and towels, and the gorgeous kitchen contained a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, microwave, flatware, stemware, dishes, pots and pans, even a food processor. The location couldn’t be more perfect and the unit was extremely quiet and private. The Empire State Building is just down the street and Fifth Avenue is footsteps away. In a few short minutes we walked to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square Garden, Central Park, and so many other wonderful places. When we were tired of walking, we hopped on the train that was located just around the corner, or strolled to Grand Central Station which was only a few blocks away, which meant we could literally be in anywhere in the city in no time at all and enjoy all sights the city has to offer. We visited Wall Street, the Freedom Tower, Greenwich Village, Lincoln Center, Union Square, the High Line, Chelsea Market, took a ferry to Ellis Island to see the Statute of Liberty and numerous museums. We felt extremely safe, as there is a gate at the street entrance, a door into the entry hall and another door into the unit (all with deadbolts). Having wireless internet, and cable TV in the living room and in the bedroom, meant we could spread out and enjoy some private moments. I will definitely be recommending this as the “go to” place for anyone headed to NYC. Thank you so much for your gracious hospitality!

Felt like home...

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is everything the description and photographs present. Keywords that come to mind are: convenience, location, privacy and size. The apartment is conveniently located near subway stops, famous landmarks and shops, but still provided our family with a feeling of our own private piece of the city at night when we returned. Our family of 4 includes 2 teenagers that were happy to sleep on the large sectional couch with pillows and blankets, they didn't want to pull out the bed. The television for them in the living room was nice. Having 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us was a big benefit when we were getting ready to go out or needed access to the facilities. The private back patio was the perfect spot for my husband to make business calls or to just sit and enjoy the sounds of the city. I appreciated the washer/dryer and returning home without dirty laundry to wash! We walked to Trader Joe's for items we did not bring with us. We enjoyed 2 dinners and every breakfast at the apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our meals. There are many delis, bakeries, and restaurants within walking distance, too. We always felt safe and were not disturbed by anyone while entering/exiting the apartment. The street surrounding the apartment was residential, clean and well lit at night. The size of the apartment allowed everyone in our family to have their own space, carry on phone conversations, watch television or play music without disturbing each other. Although I have not met Veronica, I have had several conversations with her through emails, texts and even a phone call. She gave very good instructions on key pick-up and checking out. Veronica has always been pleasant and eager to answer any question that came up before, during and even after our stay. I am planning on recommending this apartment to anyone that mentions future plans to NYC. I would also be interested in staying here again if I am fortunate to return. This apartment would be perfect for 1-4 people traveling together for business or pleasure. My husband parked our car at the NJ airport for the week ($6 a day) after dropping off our luggage at the apartment. We walked and rode the subway all week. The night before our departure my husband picked up our car and parked it on the street right in front of the apartment for FREE (7pm-7am). We woke up the next morning, ate a little breakfast and then loaded the car. Easy and perfect! Thank you, Veronica.

Great New York Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

First off, let me say Veronica is a saint! She went over the top to help me in time of need. I truly thank her for her efforts, (VRBO wasn't making much of an effort to make things "right" when my first property reservation was cancelled at the last minute), but Veronica did. The apartment was pretty, clean and very centrally located to most of Manhatten. The Metro was conveniently close if I chose not to walk. Everything I needed for my 10 day stay was in the apartment, basic cooking items, glass ware, silverware, sheets, pillows and towels. The couch made into a bed and the bedroom has a very comfortable mattress. The two bathrooms were a boon. I used the washer and dryer several times, and the back patio was wonderful to sit on and have an evening cocktail. Trader Joes is 3 blocks away and another grocery store 1 block down on the corner of 3rd and 35th. Even though it says "Times Square" in the heading for this apartment, it was super quiet on a pretty tree lined street, but a quick walk to Times Square. All in all, great stay! Nice Apartment! You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at 614890.

Perfect Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

My parents and I stayed for a week in April to celebrate my dad's retirement. The apartment was exactly as presented in the photos - it was clean, comfortable and convenient. It was ideal having 2 full bathrooms and the full kitchen - and with 3 adults showering each morning, we had no issues at all with hot water! The best part with the private outdoor patio - the weather was great when we were there so it was perfect to sit outside for coffee in the morning. And each afternoon, we enjoyed a beer on the patio when we returned home to change clothes for the evening activities.

The apartment is in an ideal location. It is close to several subway lines, and as avid walkers - we could walk to many of our destinations. I loved that the apartment is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Yet when we wanted the hustle and bustle of the city, it is just a quick walk away. There are many great bars and restaurants just a short walk away.

We were 100% happy with the apartment and will definitely stay here again on our next trip! And I have already recommended it to my friends. We had an amazing vacation and the apartment really played a big part in making it so memorable.

Quiet NYC Apartment -great location

  • 4 of 5

Me, my husband, my son and daughter-in-law stayed at this apartment 4 nights and it was a very nice experience. Veronica was easy to work with and is very accommodative. She always replied to my emails promptly and allowed us to check in really early on our arrival day which was so nice since it was snowing when we arrived. The apartment was clean, quiet and close to many attractions. The only slight negative is the pull-out bed in the living room (which is not actually a second bedroom) is not very comfortable. Unfortunately my son and his wife ended up sleeping on the couch - one on each end- instead on pulling the sleeper sofa out.
