About the property

3-6 Bedrooms, Mid-Century Modern House

Located amidst rolling wheat fields in the heart of Washington wine country, 'The Vineyard House' is a short drive to historic Walla Walla’s land-marked Main Street, its many wine tasting rooms and superb restaurants, and the Whitman College campus.

This mid-century ranch-style house is appointed in a modern style adjacent to hundreds of acres of rolling wheat fields and vineyards.

The vast open setting provides a sense of calm and comfort. From the in-ground pool, guests may enjoy the view of the Blue Mountains to the east and spectacular sunsets to the west. If it's not good swimming weather, we have a dry cedar sauna to enjoy.

The nightly rate includes use of all 6 bedrooms. Total maximum occupancy is 12. We cannot accommodate minors at this time.

The Vineyard House has a on-site grounds keeper in a separate residence.

David's Country House

A very charming property with lots of room for our party of six. No one felt like they were cramped and we all enjoyed the openness of the estate and it really felt like home after being there a short time. We will rent it again. TG

Unforgetable wine bachelolette weekeend!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this lovely home with eight girlfriends for a bachelorette weekend and we had an unforgettable time. The house is privately set on a hill with beautiful views of the surrounding fields. The pool was wonderful and clean and cooled us off during the hot weekend. The house is huge with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. With 8 people we didn't even use up the whole house. The bathrooms and kitchen are outdated. But we made use of the kitchen and cooked breakfast twice and dinner once. The kitchen had everything we needed except a blender.

The house really isn't too far from town. A bit of a drive to southern vineyards. The owner is super friendly and groundskeeper came right away when we blew a fuse with a blow dryer. The house did get warm in the heat but had AC units in the bedrooms. Be aware that in the summer there are lots of bugs and bees on the property. The girls felt safe except for a sliding door that didn't lock. Overall, the house is perfect for large families and parties. The views, pool and privacy are worth it all! I would absolutely recommend this house and hope to someday go back.

Didn't want to leave. . .

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our group and exceeded our expectations -- it was clean and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time lounging by the pool, and it was wonderful to not have nearby neighbors. This is truly a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding wheat fields and vineyards. The homeowner was so gracious and kind. He greeted our group and gave a tour of the home as well as some history. He was also very responsive to the questions we had prior to staying at the house. Our group is planning to return next year!

We'll be back!

  • 4 of 5

The house is located in a stunningly beautiful spot - wheat fields and grape vines everywhere you turn. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather, and spent nearly all our time living outdoors. The pool and patio offered us the best way to spend a long weekend with old friends. Although there was a septic tank issue, David responded quickly and effectively - with nominal disruption.

I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a lovely home with room for a dozen or so people, not far from downtown Walla Walla - and enjoy the views!
