This beach level, contemporary home, located directly on the sand in Marina Del Rey, was completely remodeled in 2010. The 18 foot bi-fold glass doors in the living area completely open up, letting in the ocean breezes and creating a true outdoor/indoor living space. Many properties in Marina del Rey are very narrow and have a 'tunnel view' - here, the home extends the entire width of the lot so it has a very large, open, airy feel to it.
Gourmet kitchen equipped with Italian Quartz counter tops and top of the line appliances - Miele dishwasher, Wolf Professional Range, and Subzero refrigerator. Kitchen also includes a microwave and toaster oven and is fully stocked with all the necessary accessories (electrics, pots/pans, bakeware, cookware, cutlery, grill accessories, coffee maker, etc).
Throughout the house, you will find Du Chateau Waxed Oak Floors, High Ceilings, Lutron Lighting System, and Sonos speaker system.
2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms:
1 king bed in master; en suite bath
1 queen bed with twin trundle in guest room
1 queen bed and full bed in adjoining bunk room (bunk room is located inside the guest bedroom, it is not a separate bedroom with its own entrance and there is no door separating the two areas).
Portable a/c window units in the bedrooms during warm months.
No attached neighbors on either side; truly like a stand alone home on the sand although there are two units above this lower unit.
Volleyball courts right out front. Parking garage for two cars.
Within walking distance to coffee, restaurants, shops and the Venice Pier/Boardwalk. You can also ride bikes all the way to the Santa Monica Pier and beyond via the Venice Bike Path, which runs along the beach. Great location to stay while in town to see the football games at Rose Bowl and the Coliseum!

About Tara A.
I grew up in Orange County and attended college at UC Irvine. I got my law degree at USC and practiced for several years before having children. I recently got my real estate license and live in Brentwood with my husband and 2 kids. I currently manage a number of short term rental properties, including two of my own properties on the beach.

We have always loved the Marina del Rey area but really fell head over heels in love with it when our best friends bought their vacation home down the street just last year. Since then, our families have spent much time together at their condo and it didn't take long for us to realize that MDR offered the lifestyle we have always wanted. This house is located on the sand and you don't have to worry about high tides as there is unlimited beach out front on which to walk/play/lounge. Most importantly, the house is within walking distance to a myriad of restaurants and shops, as well as the Venice boardwalk/pier. The kids can ride their bikes all over the area. We look forward to making many wonderful memories in this house with our friends and family.

The view from this unit is amazing, especially if all the doors are open in the front (it's like living on the beach). Our family didn't even want to leave to eat out. We just cooked in and enjoyed the spectacular view! Tara was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed.
Amazing property with amazing views!
We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. Tara was wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. The condo has everything you could possibly want for a beach stay. We slept 3 Kids and 4 adults very comfortably. The beach, literally right out the back door, was well maintained and not crowded at all. If we’re ever back in the LA area, we will definitely be renting this property again and will recommend it to all friends/family. 5+ stars from us!!!
Beautiful place, great location!
We stayed at this house for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. It's right on the sand with very little foot traffic on the beach side, so it's very private. It's walking distance from all the shops/restaurants/rental spots on Washington Blvd and it's super helpful to have parking spots in the garage. The house is also very stylish and well equipped all the way around and Tara is an excellent host. We would absolutely stay here again if we can!

Lovely Beach Property!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Tara's beach front home. The condo is happy and cheerfully decorated. The view is unbeatable and this part of the beach in MDR is the BEST! We stayed for almost three weeks and so cooked frequently. The kitchen is well equipped. Tara was extremely accommodating. Any questions were answered immediately. I highly recommend this property. Thanks for creating the perfect beach oasis!
A short bike ride or walk to a variety of restaurants and shops, not to mention the Venice boardwalk and the main Venice Canal, the artsy/hip Abbot Kinney (home to many of LA's best restaurants), and the glorious yachts and boardwalk of Marina Del Rey. Activities ranging from paddle boarding, surfing, boating, fishing, bike riding, rollerblading, volleyball (right out front), and much more.

Additional information about rental rates
If you are trying to make a reservation for a last minute rental (within 24 hours of check in date), you won't be able to use a credit card right away. Please contact me to help you make the reservation. We must receive valid identification (e.g. valid drivers license or passport) of all guests prior to arrival. Any renters using credit cards to pay for bookings will be charged any and all associated fees for such payments. The names on the credit card must match the name on the contract and the name on the identification. PLEASE NOTE: there will be a 3% CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION FEE in the event a credit card is used for the booking. These fees will be deducted from the guests security deposit at the end of their stay. Note that if you are paying through an international bank, there is also an international bank fee that will be deducted. There are no fees for payments made via wire transfer, Echeck or personal check! You can chose one of these methods of payments when the reservation is booked. House instructions/rules will be sent to guests a few days before check in. No keys are used as we have keyless entry locks. Dogs are welcome but there is a $100 pet fee. Dogs are not allowed on furniture - any evidence of dogs (hair, paw marks), there will be an additional cleaning fee TBD based on extent of damage. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS, NO EXCEPTION!
