Jan and Oz have created the best of the big five Kiahuna Plantation features – 2 bedroom for sleeping up to 6 guests,a view of the ocean, open and spectacular living and kitchen area, and membership in the Poipu Beach Athletic Club. Jan and Oz are long time owners and visit their Kauai home frequently. The completed a full remodel of both floors a few years ago. It is fresh, open, and modern.

This Kiahuna Plantation vacation home in Building 12 has everything that you need for a wonderful vacation. The beach is less than 200 yards away through a grassy beach-side lawn. Pickup your complementary towels and beach chairs at the Beach Hut and you will be on the beach in no time. The main upstairs lanai has the iconic views of the great lawn and beach frontage across the Twin Bridges. The kitchen lanai offers view of the large Upper Lawn area from a breakfast table area by the kitchen.

The ground floor entrance gives you access to the 2nd bedroom, a full hall bath, and the master bedroom. The master bedroom has king bed, a full and modern bathroom with shower and tub, and closest and dressers built in for a non-suitcase stay. This and the second bathroom each has a magnifying make-up mirror. The bedroom photos illustrate this luxury suite and a furnished, private lanai for that quiet cup of tea or coffee.

The second bedroom contains a queen bed and single bed for that special family situation or guests. The hall bathroom is complete with tub, shower, granite vanity and utility area.

The living area was remodeled to join the kitchen, dining and living room into a great room with five functional areas. The kitchen is modern with granite counter-top and modern appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with extras – casserole dishes, platters, extra cookware and long stemmed wine glasses. The refrigerator features filtered water.

The living area will “wow” you with floor to ceiling shuttered window, track lighting, ceiling fans and all the west and north light that you will want. The living area has a television area, a top of the line sofa bed area, and a study/office are adjacent to the kitchen lanai. The oversize dining table has spacious and comfortable chairs. Of course, the condo has Internet Service and WiFi coverage, at no cost to the guests.

The owners have supplied the television area with DVD’s, games and books for their guests.

The upstairs living area lanai is stocked with a high table to allow enjoyment of the ocean views. Of course the lanai has two lounges.

These three side windows provide lush views and the daily trade winds that keep the island cool at night and comfortable during the day.

We will provide you with a list of all the kitchen appliances and utensils. A set of dishes, glasses and dinner ware are furnished for a setting of 8. If you need additional settings for a party, just call Housekeeping to borrow extra sets.

John Nabors is our Rental Manager for our condo. John and Winnie have 30 years of experience at Kiahuna Plantation and will host you as our guest. He can often arrange this condo as one of several condos for family gatherings or weddings. They have other listings and condos that are not listed on VRBO

Kiahuna #66 owns a membership in the Poipu Beach Athletic Club, located directly across Poipu Road from Kiahuna. The PBAC provides a large pool with a slide and an infant/toddler wading area; beach chairs, tables and umbrellas; a hot tub; tennis courts; a modern fitness room with excellent weight machines; a cardio room; a beach hut and bathrooms. Construction is still underway on a bar and grill located poolside; an all-purpose court for basketball, and other court games, volleyball courts, and a yoga lanai. As a guest in our unit, you will be able to use these facilities, at no extra charge.

Check with us even if our calendar shows as ‘not available.’ We can assist you in finding just the right vacation accommodation for yourself, your family and your friends at Kiahuna Plantation. USA Today has rated our beach one of the 10 best beaches in the world. The Poipu Beach area has the best beaches and sunniest portion of Kauai. Kiahuna Golf Course is just 2 blocks away. Restaurants and shops are a short walk across the street from the resort.

35 acres of awesome landscaping is yours to “drink in” every moment of your experience in Paradise. The world-class Moir Cactus Gardens cover over an acre next to the plantation manager’s home of the first sugar plantation in Hawaii. The cactus gardens were created by the wife of the original sugar plantation manager. Nearby, the pathways around the plantation home exhibit over 1,200 orchid plants and numerous Koy and water lily ponds. Ask us for pictures and details if you are interested.

Several of our favorite restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. The Plantation Gardens Restaurant is on-property and a first class place for one of your dinners. We will provide that information to you.

Our family starting visiting Kauai in the 70's and stayed at the wonderful Waiohi Hotel before its destruction by the hurrican. We saw the first Kiahuna condo units being built and loved it from the beginning. We rented many condos throughout the years and during 2001 had a hard time finding a two bedroom condo as our family had outgrown the one bedroom units. It was January 2001 that we bought #66. Kiahuna is the best resort for has it all. And now there will be a workout room added; we have it all. Jan and Oz Pieper

Why John Nabors chose Poipu

We loved the location as it was far from the road eliminating any road noise. We soon discovered that we did not get direct sun, therefore it was cooler than many condos. The view from our lanai is Kiahuna's signature view and never do we tire of it. We have always loved the sweeping lawns, each lawn occupied with either a soccer game, baseball game, volley ball, boccie ball, croquet or football. Kids and adults of all ages love joining in the fun. The beach attracts all ages and is a very safe place to learn to surf, boogie board and snorkel. The pool across the street is a perfect place for the toddlers to swim. Our family are tennis players so the tennis facilities have always been a big attraction for all ages. During our stay it is now tradition for many to sip on a mai tai and watch the sunset from the lawn by the ocean. You'll never be at a loss for meeting new friends.

We had a short walk to the Kiahuna beach area. The grounds are beautiful and make the walk that much more enjoyable. This unit is also a short walk to the pool which we enjoyed every morning. The BBQ is close and made it easy to cook our food and watch the kids at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised with the view from the upper deck. In fact it was better than the unit our friends rented that was closer to the beach. This condo is also more updated than others I saw. It was well equipped with all our needs. It is a great place to kick back and enjoy your vacation.

Love Kiahuna Plantation and Unit 66

My family has been traveling to Kiahuna Plantation for over 40 years. I started as a young child and now I bring my family. We have stayed in Unit 66 several times and each time is perfect. This is a very well appointed condo with everything you need for the perfect vacation. I have stayed in MANY units there and highly recommend this unit. John is fabulous to work with and makes the reservation process super easy. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Perfect Family Vacation

Unit 66 is a lovely condo. It has an open layout, with beautiful and comfortable furnishings. This two bedroom unit has a perfect set up with bedrooms below and lots of room to gather upstairs while the little ones sleep. The view from the lanai is spectacular. We enjoyed the Athletic Club, especially the pool for the little ones and the tennis facilities.

John was a pleasure to work with. The entire rental process went very smoothly and once at Kiahuna, on-site management, Outrigger, was always available and responsive. I highly recommend this condo.

Excellent view, lots of room

Our family really enjoyed our two week stay in this updated unit.

The Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail, Polihale State Park and Hanapepe Art Walk are well worth doing.

Tour information is provided by John and Winnie Nabors based on 30 years of experience at Kiahuna Plantation. They have experience multi-generational trips in multiple condos, friends in nearby condos, and family members including all ages of grandchildren. They have booked over 2,500 nights at Kiahuna Plantation in the past 18 months and utilize that experience to assist their new guests. Multiple handout are given to guests that describe rental cars, tours, bike rentals, restaurants, tour guides, and other facts asked by prior guests.

Expedia operates a desk in the Outrigger lobby and operates the Beach Hut. These agents can arrange any activity done on the island.
