This “Victorian-Modern” (1892 on the outside 2012 on the inside) flat is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is a ground floor apartment and a larger and more elegant version of 473 Clarence, which is the upstairs apartment featured in Ad 457131. Like the upstairs suite, this apartment features three, well-spaced bedrooms with brand new queen beds and linens.

If both apartments are available, together they can accommodate up to 12 people.

There are two full bathrooms - one with a 6 ft tub and the other with a custom glass shower enclosure.

The brand-new, eat-in kitchen is well stocked with enough dishes, glassware, serve ware, pots and pans to feast with friends and/or family.

There is a gas range, a dishwasher and an automatic espresso machine.

The living room has a new flat screen television, cable and a functioning gas fireplace. The apartment has wi-fi.

There is a formal dining room with a large glass table and seating for 8

There is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by on the front porch. There is also a large, private, covered porch out the back door off the kitchen. The rear porch is well-lit and furnished with a table and comfortable seating.

475 Clarence is comfortable in both winter and summer. It also has its own furnace, central air conditioner and thermostat. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan.

There are only two steps up to the front door to 475 Clarence and so this apartment may be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Parliament Hill, the Central Business District, the University of Ottawa, the historic Byward Market, the National Gallery, DFAIT, DND HQ, Rideau Falls, Rideau Hall and other destinations can easily be reached in less than 30 minutes on foot in any weather.

Transit is also available: major transit routes serving Ottawa and with connections to Gatineau are located on the next corner at Cobourg St. The property has excellent access to the Macdonald-Cartier Intraprovincial Bridge to Gatineau, Highways 5 North and 50 East.

Neighborhood amenities (within 15 minute walk) include 2 indoor pools (one is a 2 minute walk), a public, outdoor NHL-sized skating rink, the Rideau River path system for running/walking, two major grocery stores, specialty shops and restaurants in the Byward Market and New Edinburgh, an independent movie theatre, and more.

Great place to stay while visiting Ottawa

We stayed at Allison's property from June 8-13. The apartment is very well appointed with 3 nice bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Allison also stocks food in the fridge to get you started for breakfast and also has a good supply of condiments. One couple was coming from Halifax and arrived early. As the apartment was ready, they were able to get in earlier which was very nice.

Allison was also available to answer any questions as she lives next door. The neighbourhood is also interesting and we enjoyed taking in a few walks. As well, you could walk to Byward market in about 20-30 minutes. I would definitely stay here again if I happen to be in Ottawa.

Clean, fresh property that was well appointed and conveniently located.

We loved the condo and location. Easy access to all Ottawa highlights although we did have a vehicle. Were able to enjoy the evenings on the patios. Kitchen was well stocked and any items we required were a quick text to Owner (lives next door) and issues resolved. Delighted to have starting provisions in fridge and even some beers for our late arrival. Would absolutely book again if available.

Everything you will need.

Clean, comfortable, spacious, and good value. We stayed 4 nights over race weekend. Allison had stocked the fridge with milk, juice, eggs, fruit, and fresh croissants upon our arrival, among other items. All of the conveniences of home are in the apartment. I even forgot my contact lense case and sunscreen, but there was an unopened contact case and sunscreen there. It shows the level of detail that she has thought through for her guests. The walk to Byward Market was about 10-15 minutes, so close enough to easily walk it. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

It was beautiful!!!

We were so comfortable here. Allison's personnel touches were appreciated. More than everything we needed was here for us. The espresso machine was exceptional. The park close by was an added bonus. We would highly recommend this place for your stay in Ottawa .

Extremely clean and comfortable home away from home in a great location.

This was our first vrbo experience and I would very much recommend this wonderful property. We came to Ottawa for a very busy long weekend for a family wedding. It has been great to have such a comfortable clean and quiet place to rest in between our excursions. A really special bonus has been the food Alison left for us. That's truly a big help when you're running around and it's meant we could slow down and start our day together. Wonderful kitchen, lovely deck out back and very spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Alison.

a wonderful place to stay for up to 6 people

the apartment has 3 good sized bedrooms, a kitchen that is well equipped with breakfast fare and all imaginable cooking equipment. All appliances are recent and in good working condition.The owner lives right next door and is available to help with any problems. The property is within a 10 minute drive of most of the tourist locations and a reasonable walk to the top tourist wishlist of people who visit Ottawa. We would highly recommend staying in this wonderful little gem of a vacation rental.
