Very lovely cottage, ideal base for touring Normandy. Charming with modern bathrooms.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 days in September 2017. Dennis and Isabelle were there to welcome us and provided great information on restaurants and touring ideas. There are 4 very modern bathrooms, one for each of the spacious bedrooms and a powder room off the kitchen. The cottage is immaculate and cozy, with all the amenties you require. The beds were very comfortable and lots of room for luggage. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing after our day of touring, watching the sheep and donkey in the nearby fields. The yard had an apple tree which was laden with delicious organically grown apples to enjoy.

We had a wifi issue and Dennis came right over to show us how to reset it , all resolved. The cottage is only a very short drive from a Honfleur so convenient to visit for the sites and restaurants. The property is truly a quiet little haven tucked away in a beautiful setting. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all who are in the Normandy area.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to have met Julie, her husband and friends. We were pleased to see they fully enjoyed the calm and charm of the property as well as the confort of the house. They came right in the middle of the apples harvest season and we have a lot of different kinds to taste ! We hope to see you all again sometimes, there are so many things to discover in Normandy... The perfect holiday

  • 5 of 5

I was there in June 2017 with my husband, my daughter and her partner, we all had an amazing time. The gite is very spacious, very well equipped, has a very clean, shared swimming pool and is perfectly located 5 minutes from Beuzeville. The town has 2 supermarkets, several small cafe's and a market. It is also 10 minutes from Honfleur, the most beautiful seaside resort with its quaint harbour, a multitude of restaurants and a myriad of cultural specimens. Whilst there we also visited Monet's Garden at Giverney, the Bayeux Tapestry and the Normandy beaches. So if you require peace and tranquility in the countryside with civilization and history not too far away, this is the place for you.

an oasis in Normandy

  • 5 of 5

We were a family of 5 so there was plenty of room. We enjoyed the apple orchard and quiet walks right from the house. we were very close to major roads so were easily able to access Bayeux, Rouen and DDay beaches. Denis and Isabel were very kind and made sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental

Beautiful Normandy country house

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a quiet and centrally located place for touring northern Normandy this is it. It was exactly as described-beautifully restored typical farm house situated in the French countryside surrounded by apple trees and fields. We had total privacy and the inside is extremely well equipped-especially for cooking and outside dining on your own private patio. Denis and Isabelle are the perfect hosts and even invited us to join them to visit their favorite local market where we bought some supeb chocolates and macarons. We were able to tour all the great D- Day sites as well as the world class Caen Memorial-all within a 45-60 minute drive. Excellent restaurants in the near by town. We highly recommend it and certainly look forward to returning again. Rich/Diane VandeNoord La Jolla, CA USA

Perfect stay in an idealic setting

  • 5 of 5

We were four adults travelling for the first time in Normandy and we could not have been more delighted with our stay. The home is ideally situated and its authentic appearance was beautifully complimented by modern appliances and conveniences. The furnishings and décor were simply great. The property's amenities like the heated pool and free bikes made for a truly wonderful stay. The nearby village was an easy bike ride away and had all we needed in terms of charm, shopping and dining...We made easy day trips to Honfluer, Etratet and the Nomandy beaches but we especially enjoyed our times sitting by the fire in our charming home away from home.....
