Welcome to Lake Wissota Lakehouse, where you will feel at home the minute you walk in the door. This three bedroom, one bath home has great lake views and access. Tie your boat to the dock or catch some fish at the end of the dock. This lake house is located on Lake Wissota, a 6300 acre water paradise. There is plenty of fishing (musky, walleye, bass and panfish) and yet lots of recreational boating, skiing, paddling and sand beach swimming.
The Wissota Lakehouse offers a unique setting for families and quilters. The three bedrooms (two queens, 2 twins) easily accommodate a family or four adult quilters. (6 max.) The fully equipped kitchen, Cable TV with DVD, Stereo, WiFi with high speed internet, washer and dryer, gas grill, outdoor fire ring, picnic table and central air make this a very comfortable home.
For the quilters; a custom sewing center with cutting table, built-in ironing board and machine platform is a quilters dream. Set up overlooking the lake, it is hard to imagine which is more beautiful; the quilt you are working on or the view outdoors. And for your quilt shopping pleasure, there are six quilt shops within 30 minutes of the house!
The location on a quiet cul-de-sac is within walking distance to four different eating establishments, ranging from old fashion drive-in root beer stand to classic Wisconsin tavern to fine dining supper club. The famous Leinenkugal Brewery and two wineries are very close by for tours and tasting.
And for the outdoor enthusiast Lake Wissota State Park is just across the lake offering swimming, picnicing, camping, hiking and biking trails and water rentals. Across the street is a Ray's Beach, a large public sand beach. The Old Abe (paved) biking trail offers great biking along the Chippewa River. Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls is a great place for families with a kid friendly pool and petting zoo.
Area events include; Country Jam, Country Fest, Rock Fest, Northern Wisconsin State Fair, Pure Water days and many other great events in the surrounding area. Check with Chippewa Area Chamber of Commerce for more detailed information.
We hope you enjoy your time at our lakehouse and will bring home great memories of time spent with family and friends.
Wissota Lakehouse is owned by Bob and Kate Robbins. Our full time home is a small farmette located in southern Wisconsin. We enjoy all things outdoors, including fishing, boating, hiking, biking, x-country skiing, campfires, and simply relaxing while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake.
Kate Robbins purchased this house in 2008
We love the Chippewa Falls area; Kates hometown. We purchased our lakehouse six years ago while attending a class reunion. We have enjoyed getting reaquainted with friends and extended family while staying at our lake home. The area offers so many recreational opportunities for our family and friends. Kate has enjoyed bringing her quilting friends for quilting retreats at the lake. We enjoy so many things in this area and hope you will too.
Wissota Lakehouse is a quiet, wonderful place to relax and get away from the daily stresses of life. Yet there are many local amenities to enjoy. Your will find yourself returning year after year to take advantage of the many family and quilt friendly activities.

Kate gave us perfect directions to manage the detour to her lake home. We arrived in the dark and were able to easily get in to her home; she gave very precise directions. The house was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, we had all the clean linens we needed. It was a wonderful place to
stay as we moved out our daughter and attended her graduation from UW-EC ... very convenient - even with the "bridge out" to get between Eau Claire
and Chippewa Falls.
The home had absolutely everything we needed for preparing meals and the night of graduation we dined at High Shores Supper Club ( a quick walk down the street). The food was good but the atmosphere on the patio overlooking the lake was exceptional. We spent our last night at the lake home canoeing
(provided!) as the full moon rose --- spectacular!!
We would definitely recommend this to other families attending events at UW-EC and we thank our hosts for their hospitality!!

A great place to stay and I have recommended it to friends and family.
I agree with the other vacationers and ditto on their responses.
I want to add that boaters have a boat launch less than 1/2 mile away.
Hop in your boat and slowly cruise along the shore and you can feel the stresses of
life melt away.
We rented the house to stay in the area for a wedding. It was the perfect place to stay -- full kitchen, beautiful view of the lake, quiet neighborhood, and plenty of space for our group. Thank you for a fantastic place to stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The view from the living room of the lake and trees was extremely peaceful. The home was immaculate. Thank you for a wonderful place to vacation.
The Chippewa Falls/Lake Wissota area offers a wide range of activities for adults and families.
Pure Water Days, Leinies Lodge Family Reunion Octoberfest, Country Fest, Rock Fest, Country Jam, Northern Wisconsin State Fair and Indianhead Car show are a few of the area events enjoyed by all. These events feature parades, runs, quilt shows, picnics, nationally recognized musicians, agricultural exhibits and historical displays. Something for everyone!
The natural beauty of the area also hosts a wide range of outdoor activities; fishing tournaments, bicycle trails and events, sky-diving and hiking just to name a few.
