About the property

Ski in/out Condo, 3 Bdrms 2 Baths (Sleeps 6) walk to restaurants, great views

This ideally situated property is located DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF LIFT 7 and only 4 scenic blocks to the heart of downtown Telluride. If you are looking for convenience and stunning mountain views amid understated elegance and true luxury appointments - then this is the property for you.

We've provided all the services and amenities of a 5-STAR HOTEL within the comfort of our PRIVATE HOME. This is not your typical 'vacation rental'. Our condo was recently enlarged and completely rebuilt in a 'down to the studs' renovation with the finest amenities and finishes. Then we professionally decorated it with luxurious furnishings, original artwork, oriental rugs, and and sumptuous bedding, and Maid Service EVERY OTHER day included.

Inside you'll have privacy with no neighbors adjoining three sides of your unit. The feeling is more of a townhome than a condo. Immediately upon entering you will be struck by the abundance of natural sunlight, spectacular views, and the spacious interior. You will be warmed by in-floor radiant heat under rich hardwood floors.

PLEASE NOTE: The 3rd bedroom does not have a door yet it is on its own level and very private and therefore we refer to it as a bedroom rather than a loft.

The open floor plan features a spectacular new kitchen with alder wood cabinets, rich granite counters, commercial grade stainless Viking appliances including a Gas Range. The center island serves as a gathering spot for friends and family to enjoy a hot chocolate or glass of wine while dinner is being prepared. The dining table opens to sit up to eight comfortably.

The most luscious down-filled sofa and oversized leather chairs/ottomans will comfort you after a long day on the slopes or at the end of a summer's hike. Sit down. Put your feet up and enjoy the unparalleled alpenglow views as the sun begins to set. A top-of-line stereo system with DVD/VCR/CD and flat screen TV with built-in speakers has been installed for you to enjoy your favorite music or movie. Or if you want to keep in touch with the outside world, connect with the FREE WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNET.

We personally tested numerous beds to find the mattresses that would offer you the most restful sleep. These no-spring latex foam mattresses have no pressure points so you will not feel your partner move during the night and you will awake feeling utterly refreshed. Our linens are all 500-count, pima cotton for silky smoothness under the down comforters/duvets which will keep you toasty warm on cold nights.

LUXURIOUS SPA ROBES, and plush towels will be provided. Take a steam shower in the master bath to loosen sore mussels or step across to the two indoor hot tubs and let your cares soak away.

A full size Bosch washer and dryer are located in the unit for your convenience. We always try to have laundry detergent supplied for you.

The property is situated on FIVE PARK-LIKE ACRES and offers two indoor HOT TUBS and gas BBQs. PRIVATE PARKING is also provided. There is a large, PRIVATE SKI CLOSET just outside our unit in the hallway where you can store your gear. Grocery store, equipment rental, video rental, and many other conveniences are all located within one block. The free in-town shuttle, the Galloping Goose, stops directly in front of the property.

Why Melissa Bassett chose Telluride

After looking in other areas for almost 10 years but never quite 'clicking' with just the right property or ski town - one visit to Telluride and that was it!!!! Bought this place on my first visit to Telluride - and never looked back. Seven months of construction later and Telluride became home! Or at least home away from home. This is the most magical ski town - easy to navigate, incredible skiing, and awesome beauty that no photo can describe.

What makes this condo unique

Convenience to lifts, restaurants and grocery store

Great Stay In Telluride

  • 5 of 5

Great stay over president’s week 2018. The renovated unit was actually perfect for our group as advertised with everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and of one of the best equipped I have ever had in a VRBO rental. Also loved the quiet area and location across the street from Lift 7. Grocery store 200 yards away and some great small restaurants and bars within a 3 minute walk.

Some caveats:

1. Lift 7 was closed a few days during our stay... also the ski back down to the base of 7 is fine for advanced skiers but tough for beginners (especially given the snow this year)....

2. Also lift 7 does not open till 9am so if you have a ski school mtg at 9am you have to walk or ride to the gondola (a nice walk actually and not far but not easy with all the gear + there is a great free bus)....

3. Communal hot up was not clean on our first day but it appeared the building cleaned it early in the week....only negative dynamic really to our whole stay.

Hope to be back again in 2019!!!

Excellent location and comfortable stay!

  • 4 of 5

The location was excellent: accessible to ski rental, ski lift, grocery store, hiking trails and every restaurant/bar in Telluride. At the same time, the location was quiet since it's situated at the end of town which was nice for relaxing and sleeping! The kitchen/family room was accommodating and roomy, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans and every gadget for making meals in the condo. Each of the 3 bedrooms was comfortable and had a window, with lots of closet and drawer space. As a ski family, my only recommendation would be to provide more hooks and baskets in the hallway and family room rather than some of the artwork and tables. The outdoor hot tub was not operating during times of our stay and was a bit dated. Our favorite restaurants of the stay, THERE and Sian, were 2 blocks away. Overall, we loved our stay in Telluride and the excellent accommodation at this lodge.

Very nicely appointed property. Excellent location.

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed out stay in Telluride. This is likely one of the best equipped properties, especially in the kitchen, that I have stayed in VRBO (I've been using VRBO for about 15 years), which was very much appreciated because we often dine in. Along with that, having Clark's market being a 2 minute walk away, literally next door, was great. Town/gondola is probably a 5 minute walk. We never actually drove our car for the 5 days we stayed in Telluride. Nice touches with the robes/linens/and having good guidebooks around. One minor thing to note is that the living room didn't have blinds, so if you enjoy privacy, this might be an annoyance. We liked having the light. The kids also really enjoyed having access to the hot tubs, and they were rarely in use. Lastly, it was very quiet at our location, which is nice to get away from the noise of the downtown main street.

Early Season Skiing

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time in Telluride. Arrived early and they hadn't received as much snow as predicted. However, we had the best time. Melissa's condo is perfectly located. My son went skiing, daughter went cross country skiing and I rode a fat tire bike. With no car, getting around was a breeze. Grocery store was at the end of the complex and eating out was very convenient. The condo was very comfortable and had everything one would need. Nice cozy place to settle down after a full day of activities.

Lastly, Mellisa is very receptive and pleasant to deal with

I hate to write this review, because I have so many great things to say about this condo that more people will come here and I won't get to go here as often!

Let's just say this, if you want a vacation without worries, with all the class and comforts of won't find a better condo to stay in ANYWHERE!
