The colorful charmes and feel ofold Santa Fe.
The Casita de Guadelupe is exactly as pictured. Small, comforting, well appointed with a wonderful private intimate courtyard. The host is most friendly and all the advertised necessities were there. It is beautifully quiet and easy walking distance to the main plaza and several outstanding cafes and restaurants. There is off street fenced parking below the casita which requires you to open a gate and drive into a private enclosure. A good safety precaution. Evening fires completed a wonderful 5 day stay.
A Gem of a Casita!
We loved the cozy and comfortable traditional adobe casita my partner and I stayed in for our first ever week together in Santa Fe. Located just a short walk from the historic Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe where I would go for eucharist at 0600 and only about a twenty minute stroll to the central Plaza of Santa Fe it was a great home base. We bought pinion wood and made a fragrant fire in the Kiva fireplace each night. Carol had a bottle of red wine waiting for us when we checked in. We made our own meals each night in the full kitchen. A ten minute drive to Sprouts for the morning New York Times and fresh fruit began the day. Quiet and safe barrio along the river that was a perfect home base for day trips to Chimayo and Taos and Abiquiu and the splendid traditional Japanese Spa " Ten Thousand Waves" and meditation at the Upaya Zen Center .. Thank you Carol for being such a generous host..
Thank you for your fine review. It was such a pleasure hosting you and gratifying that you enjoyed your stay. Folks like you make hosting a satisfying experience. I hope you will return to Santa Fe and Casita de Guadalupe.
Great little house
We had a great stay at the casita. It was just enough space for two people and was walking distance to many of the Santa Fe sites. We will definitely recommend the house to others visiting the city.
Lovely house in a great location
This lovely home is well situated near the centre of Santa Fe. From the house we could walk to the plaza, most museums, good restaurants, grocery stores, and the Railyards. We left our car in the secure parking area for the duration of our stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the living area bright, the bed comfortable, and the traffic noise not a problem when the windows are closed. Our host was there when we arrived and available if we needed to speak to her. We appreciated the bicycles provided and the easy access to Santa Fe's excellent cycling trails.
Thank you. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay at Casita de Guadalupe.
Happy guests are the reward of hosting. I look forward to your return.
Quaint and cozy
This was a lovely casita--cozy, quaint, and we'll decorated. We enjoyed the deck and the courtyard, the comfy bed, and the homey atmosphere. It was perfectly located within walking distance to the plaza.
My only complaint was that the host indicated there would be coffee and cream waiting for us, so we didn't stop on our way in. We did appreciate the bottle of wine, though!
So sorry you were not welcomed with coffee and cream, an oversight to be sure.
I hope you will return and we assure you coffee and cream will be in store for you.
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you in the future.
Love this place!
This was the second time we stayed at the Casita de Guadalupe. It is a wonderful hideaway. Quiet and private with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The farmers market and downtown are a short walk away. It's like our home away from home. I highly recommend staying there when visiting Santa Fe.
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and that you consider Casita de Guadalupe your home away from home where you are always welcome. We are looking forward to your next visit.
