Perfect base to explore Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent five nights at this lovely adobe apartment near downtown Santa Fe. We spent several days without a car and easily walked to all the sights we wanted to see as well as great nearby restaurants. On our last day we rented a car and drove the Turquoise Trail, enjoying hikes and scenery along the way.

What did we love? Sipping coffee and eating breakfast while sitting in rocking chairs on the deck. Having easy access to downtown, the railyard and farmers market, and the path along the river. Biking (two bikes provided) around the neighborhood and along the river path.

The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, which made it a pleasure to return to after our outings every day. The kitchen is small but efficient, and we commented how everything was easy to access and work with for preparing meals. The bed is comfortable and there was plenty of storage to unpack our suitcases. We appreciated having robes and an umbrella in the closet to use if needed as well as laundry soap for the washer. Carol left helpful recommendations for grocery stores and other instructions in a binder and tourist info on a table near the door.

We would happily stay here again on another trip to Santa Fe and will recommend it to our friends as well.

A Gem of a Casita!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cozy and comfortable traditional adobe casita my partner and I stayed in for our first ever week together in Santa Fe. Located just a short walk from the historic Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe where I would go for eucharist at 0600 and only about a twenty minute stroll to the central Plaza of Santa Fe it was a great home base. We bought pinion wood and made a fragrant fire in the Kiva fireplace each night. Carol had a bottle of red wine waiting for us when we checked in. We made our own meals each night in the full kitchen. A ten minute drive to Sprouts for the morning New York Times and fresh fruit began the day. Quiet and safe barrio along the river that was a perfect home base for day trips to Chimayo and Taos and Abiquiu and the splendid traditional Japanese Spa " Ten Thousand Waves" and meditation at the Upaya Zen Center .. Thank you Carol for being such a generous host..

Great little house

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the casita. It was just enough space for two people and was walking distance to many of the Santa Fe sites. We will definitely recommend the house to others visiting the city.

Lovely house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home is well situated near the centre of Santa Fe. From the house we could walk to the plaza, most museums, good restaurants, grocery stores, and the Railyards. We left our car in the secure parking area for the duration of our stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the living area bright, the bed comfortable, and the traffic noise not a problem when the windows are closed. Our host was there when we arrived and available if we needed to speak to her. We appreciated the bicycles provided and the easy access to Santa Fe's excellent cycling trails.

Quaint and cozy

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely casita--cozy, quaint, and we'll decorated. We enjoyed the deck and the courtyard, the comfy bed, and the homey atmosphere. It was perfectly located within walking distance to the plaza.

My only complaint was that the host indicated there would be coffee and cream waiting for us, so we didn't stop on our way in. We did appreciate the bottle of wine, though!

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we stayed at the Casita de Guadalupe. It is a wonderful hideaway. Quiet and private with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The farmers market and downtown are a short walk away. It's like our home away from home. I highly recommend staying there when visiting Santa Fe.
