Charmingly Modern Napa Bungalow

Bedrooms 1
Space 1,000 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 31 nights

About the property

***Please note that we can only rent this home for a period of 31 days or more. Thank you!***

This is a completely remodeled one-bed, one-bath home with large yard (landscaped and fenced) - an easy walk to Oxbow Market, Wine Train, and downtown Napa. It features beautiful gourmet kitchen, comfortable king-sized bed, and separate soaking tub and shower. Note: I do not show exterior photos for security/privacy reasons, but this is a single family home in a residential area.

The Space:

Our house sits on a large fenced-in lot with a beautifully landscaped yard, redwood deck, and ample parking. This is our home away from home, so it's furnished with everything you need for a short-term retreat, including king-sized bed in the bedroom, comfy sectional sofa in the living room, and soaking tub and separate shower in the bathroom. The kitchen comes equipped with new Bosch appliances (gas stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator, and dishwasher) and is fully stocked with pots and pans, dinnerware, etc. There is wireless internet and televisions in both the living room and bedroom with DIRECTV service.

Our home is located in a perfect location for you to explore Napa. In a quiet residential neighborhood right off the Silverado Trail, you are a short walk from the Oxbow Market, a ten-minute walk from downtown Napa and the Wine Train, and a fifteen-minute drive from all the fabulous restaurants in Yountville.

Guest Access:

Keyless entry system so we won't need to meet to exchange keys.

Interaction with Guests:

We likely won't see you during your stay, but we are available to help via email, text, and phone (and will drive up in case of emergency).

The Neighborhood:

The Alta Heights Neighborhood is bounded on the west by the eastern bank of the Napa River, on the south by Coombsville Road and Third Street, on the east by the City of Napa boundary, and on the north by Clark and East Avenues. It was originally settled primarily after the turn of the century. After the Great Quake of 1906 in San Francisco, many Italian families moved to an area in northern Alta Heights, which came to be known as Little Italy. It has interesting, varied architecture and many of the residences in Alta Heights enjoy sweeping views of the City of Napa and beyond.

Getting around:

You can walk to downtown and the Oxbow Market very easily, but we'd suggest bringing a bike or car if you want to explore the area further. There are lots of neat bike trails along the Napa River and Lake Berryessa, as well as some beautiful rides to many of the local vineyards. There is plenty of space to park on the property, which is gated.

Other Things to Note:

If you are considering our home, please complete and verify your profile. We are more comfortable hosting new people in our home when we know more about you, so please tell us a little about yourself and the reason for your visit. Thank you!

About Owner/Property Manager

I love the Napa area, so always happy to answer any questions you have - even if you choose to stay at a different property! :)

Owner/Property Manager purchased this house in 2004

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Napa

Many past renters tell me that I should charge more for my rentals. However, my goal is to make enough sharing with folks from time-to-time to cover my mortgage while still being able to enjoy it for myself. This means I keep the home nice, clean, and comfortable while keeping rental costs reasonable as I believe everyone should be able to visit Napa at least once in their life. :)

What makes this house unique

You have the benefit of being in a nice residential neighborhood while still being walking distance to downtown and the oxbow market.

Super convenient to downtown Napa

  • 5 of 5

Right next to Oxbow Commons, this house is spacious for two people. Large bathroom and bedroom, clean and simple decor, and nice spa robes make this house comfortable.

Great Spot!

  • 4 of 5

This is a fantastic little 1BR bungalow within walking distance of Oxbow Market and downtown Napa. It's in a residential neighborhood, convenient to lots of wineries & restaurants. Mari provided all the creature comforts of home, like coffee, cutting boards, wine opener and even decent cookware. Five stars for the building and location.

We were very happy with our stay here, except upon arrival. We opened the door to the stench of death throughout the house; after opening all the windows and covering the vents with dryer sheets, I called the owner to complain. Life is full of bad things that happen, so I measure people on how they react to adverse events. Mari called her handyman, who came out first thing the next day and removed an unfortunate critter from the basement, then refunded me for a full night for the inconvenience. Although I really appreciate her gesture, we still had to vacate the house and endure the smell. Three stars for bad luck.

Overall, we had a great time in Napa; this place was part of our fond memories there!

Excellent stay!

  • 5 of 5

The house is even better than advertised - beautiful, up-to-date, and an unbeatable location! Plus, Mari gave great advice about the area and provided most of the household items you'd ever need. We would LOVE to stay here again. Thanks, Mari!

Stylish and comfortable house, perfect for two

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four nights when we were in Napa and Yountville. The house is clean, super cute, and well-maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bathroom is very nice with a huge bathtub. The location is perfect as it's very close to the oxbow public market and other fun places in Napa. We used Lyft to take us to Yountville only 15 minutes away or so. Communication was easy and all handled before our arrival so we had a hasslefree and frictionless check in and check out. We are frequent travelers and stay at Airbnb's and HomeAway places all the time and this is easily one of the nicest we have ever stayed at, and I'm very picky. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful House!

  • 5 of 5

Mari was a super host. She responded promptly to all our messages and offered any additional assistance we may have needed. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was full stocked. We could not have wanted for anything. It made our stay in Napa a very enjoyable experience.
