You are an elevator ride and few short steps across Seawall Blvd. and down steps onto the beach. 24 foot balcony extends over living and bedroom with 180 degree view of the water. Cooking and doing dishes will be easier with the oceanview. Both bedrooms equipped with 32' LED Smart TVs with Netflix. Modern furniture and bedding in both bedrooms. Wi-FI Secure High speed internet (50 MBPS) throughout the condo. Living Room equipped with large LED TV with Blue Ray DVD and Netflix. All TVs all equipped with Comcast cable. Guests will have access to coolers, beach chairs/umbrellas/blanket and toys for the kids, everything you need for a great time at the beach. Plenty of parking behind condo. Large pool and tennis court out back. Poolside cabana with 2 propane grills so bring the Fajitas. Chairs and dining table for two outside to enjoy the expansive balcony. Back of condo (front door) has straight on view of Moody Garden to enjoy the evening fireworks. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, bars and centrally located to all of Galveston's main attractions.

We live in Humble, 2 kids in Elementary School I work as a Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing facility in the East Houston area and my wife is a dentist in Humble. I graduated from Angleton High School in 94' and from Texas A&M University in 98'.

Why Sundeep (Sunny) Chahal chose Gulf Coast

With both of us having demanding careers and limited vacation time, we wanted a place close to Houston where we could get away and relax on weekends. It takes us an hour to get to our Condo from where we live and our kids love Schlitterbahn and the beach. We would like to offer this property to others as a rental as a low cost/high value alternative to chain motel/hotels.

What makes this condo unique

The views from the 24 foot wide covered balcony, watching the colors on the water during sunset and sunrise. Pelicans and seagulls soar right by you at eye level from the 10th floor. You can often view dolphins following the boats from the balcony. Very open flow from the front door/kitchen to the balcony, great for entertaining and spending time with the family.

Amazing location, great cozy family retreat

Sunny had everything we needed besides beach towels. It was my wife and I in the room with balcony access and my 4 year old and 6 year old in the master. Comfortable thermostat. Amazing panoramic views. Kitchen was fully stocked. Swam in the pool in the am daily to take advantage of cooler water temperatures and shade. Enjoyed the beach right across the seawall for the rest of each day. Nice sand and not too crowded. Cooked using the grill by the pool one night. Sunny was super helpful and accommodating is with a package that was accidentally in his mailbox. He also checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly and to make sure no other needs. Enjoyed great sunrises every morning from the balacony. Awesome pelican watching. And cocktails on the balcony by the moonlit surf at night. Great TV options for the kids to decompres and relax after fun days at the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice and clean property, comfortable!

Everything at the condo was very nice and clean and in good working order, the front door was a little hard to get into because the door sticks, but it wasn't a big problem. Thank you Sunny for checking in with us!

Nice Remodel

On the 10th floor this condo offers great views of the beach and the water. Owners have done a great job of remodeling. Nice public laundry room on the 1st floor. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Free ferry is only 5 minutes away. On the downside: no water pressure in the kitchen sink. No good lighting in the kitchen. Living room furniture could be updated with better quality pieces. Also the balcony needs better chairs and tables.The inexpensive plastic pieces are not comfortable and really cheapen the condo. One thing the owners have no control over is the "old" smell in other parts of the building. This makes for a bad first impression.

Owner's Response: Thank you Roxanne for your feedback and for taking time to write the review I will have my maintenance person go look at the lights it is on a dimmer switch. I don't know if it was in advertently switch low or if there were some lightbulbs out but normally with the dimmer switch all the way unless there were some bulbs fused there is more than sufficient light . As for the faucet I will also have him look at that sometime some sediment build ups under the spout and That can reduce pressure. As for the furniture it was purchased from rooms to go and June 2014 and I will admit it has not aged very well I have furniture in my house way older that have held up better and I currently have plans to Change the furniture out in 2018. As for the patio furniture we originally had some nicer patio furniture however had rusted in less than two years so that is why I have plastic as it holds up better to the weather conditions. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing a condo for your stay in Galveston we have to have you back again if you have any future trips to the island.

Effective 3/1/17: The By the Sea Complex has issued a change in parking policy. Guests will be charged $15.00 per vehicle to park overnight on the complex for the length of their stay, regardless of the length of their length of stay. This is not a fee paid to me, the fee will be paid by only credit or debit card by the HOA front lobby person who is available 24 hours/day. Failure to do so may result in your car being towed. Please note the charge is 15 dollars per vehicle in your party! Please note check in times are 3 PM and check out times are 11 AM, early check in times or late check out times can never be guaranteed as it depends on if there are guests booked prior to and after your reservation. 4 hour minimum is needed for the cleaning crew to turn over the condo for the next guest.
If you book 3 night weekends (Not including Holiday weekends), the 3rd night will be discounted from 25 to 50% off depending on time of the season, check with owner for details.
For months of Jan and Feb, WINTER TEXANS please contact me for discounted monthly rates. Check with owner regarding cancellation policy.
All bookings will incur a $80 cleaning fee, these covers cost of cleaning, laundry charges, and cost of supplies.
