The property was as described and pictured. Lots of room for 6 adults and two toddlers.

We really appreciated having the sauna, foosball table, games and videos, and all the household items such as toilet paper and toweling, dish soap, laundry soap, spices, etc. We all had a wonderful stay! The only thing we wish could be fixed was the deck railing that had too much open space for such a high cliff and deck.

Lake Superior Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time to the cabin on Lake Superior. The view is wonderful and the area is full of opportunities for hiking and recreation. It is only an hour south of Grand Marais which is always a fun town to explore. We all love to cook and the kitchen is fully stocked with the pots, pans, and equipment needed. Beds are comfy. TV, videos, games, and music are available too.

Perfect location to explore the North Shore or seat back and relax

  • 5 of 5

Spent the weekend at the log cabin. It is just beautiful. Seat on the deck with your morning coffee or enjoy the many hiking trails near the cabin. Heather is a wonderful host and answered any of our questions? Everyone should spend a weekend up at the cabin on the lake.

Just visited for the second time and loved it even more. The home is super comfortable with all the amenities and has breathtaking views. It's very secluded and quiet and a fun place to drive to. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. We look forward to staying again!

Very secluded with a beautiful view.

  • 4 of 5

We experienced beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed watching the bald eagle and daily hummingbirds. We appreciated the capability of bringing our dogs. However other tenants weren't as tender with the property. The carpets needs to be replaced. Also the kitchen pots and pans had teflon scrapes and even though

we primarily grilled, need to be replaced. We enjoyed the outdoor bonfires at night. A beautiful property but it's time for some updates.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback! The pots and pans have already been replaced and the carpet is being replaced by hardwood floors this winter! When we bought the cabin it had white carpets, certainly not the color I would have picked for a rental! But never fear, we've already hired a contractor and picked out the flooring for a full replacement! All the best to you!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this cabin was nice and extremely comfortable. It is a wonderful place to relax and unwind; the atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet. The view of the lake was amazing, even from inside through the giant windows. This is the most dog-friendly place I have ever stayed. I love that they have blankets for your dog to snuggle on the coach and dog towels at the door to wipe their paws when you come in (this was extremely handy since it was raining when we arrived)! When you want to or need to stay inside, there are plenty of books to read, games to play (foosball and darts for something different), and movies to watch (they had a great variety of DVDs to watch). When the weather was nice, we enjoyed hikes at the nearby State Park. There are very few rentals that allow dogs and don't require a week stay in the summer; I am so glad we found this one--it is definitely a 5-star rating and so perfect for us!
