The casita has a jungle theme, with views of the lake and jungle. It is a 2 bedroom suite decorated with colorful Mexican tiles.
The casita is such a cute and private suite in it's own corner of the villa, given a choice the Casita is often it. With a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has sliding privacy doors that separate it from the sitting area, when open this allows a view of the lake and jungle. The second bedroom, has a double bed and sliding glass doors with jungle views opening to the terrace. Three piece bath has a view of the garden. Talavera tiles and sink decorate the shower and kitchen.
Sliding glass doors open to a terrace with table and chairs with palapa shading, while lounging on the terrace you have the feeling your sitting in the middle of the Jungle, this is a birds watchers paradise, with a view looking straight up the lake, so stunning.
The Casita can also be rented as a one bedroom.

The Casa/Casita and the Nest can be rented together or separate or you can book the whole Villa together. It works perfect for larger groups or more than one family vacationing together or a couple looking for a romantic secluded getaway.

Both Casa and Casita have fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel full size fridge with freezer, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeepot, plus all utensils to create fantastic meals.
The Nest does not have a stove. There is a wet bar, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeepot and utensils-there is a hotplate available upon request.
Extra kitchen items are in the great room for guests to share, crock-pot, roaster, taco press, elec. frying pan, and more.
5 gallon water bottle provided per unit.
Casa, Casita and Nest all have sat. TV, Wi-Fi internet, A/C, and ceiling fans are everywhere.

Area InformationLaguna Bacalar is the second largest fresh-water lake in all of Mexico. Over 50km long one side is forested by palms and various hardwoods while the other side is a beautiful wild mangrove marsh. It is fed by fresh water springs from the cenotes and is so clear and clean that it is a fabulous turquoise colour in the shallower areas with different shades of blue arising where the depth is greater. It is known as the 'The lake of Seven Colours'.

•Chetumal: Capital City of Quintana Roo. Maya Culture Museum in the center of town with beautiful artifacts on display. A Large Mall with Theatres.
•Belize Free Zone: Duty Free Shopping and 3 Casinos, on the border of Mexico and Belize. The Free Zone is close to Chetumal, in Belize. (passport needed).
•Boat Taxi - There is also day trips to Belize leaving from Chetumal by boat taxi
•45 minutes from Mahahual (THIS IS A MUST) to the ocean side. You can barter at the shops for all your souvenirs, have a massage and enjoy spa treatments or walk along the ocean's edge collecting shells and coral go diving / snorkel / jet ski or go sailing in calm waters. This is where there is one of the largest coral reefs in the world.

•San Pedro - San Pedro is on the south end of the island of Ambergris Caye, the largest Island in Belize.
• Xcalak Village - A little fishing village. Well known for it's great fishing and diving, a bit off the beaten path, you can escape the crowds here.
• Chinchorro Banks - Coral Atoll Banco Chinchorro is a must for any diver, and is just 18 miles offshore from Xcalak.

About the owner: I'm Sally, owner of an amazing property in Mexico located on the lake of seven colors Lagoona Bacalar . I have been an extreme gardener from a young teen , love landscaping , Home Decorating, Antiquing, listening to the birds singing and all things beautiful I opened a full service Hair Salon in 1978 that I still own and run - Best Little Hair House. I had mayacala built in 2010 on this amazing private cove, when you arrive as you open the car door and step out .... you are in another world with Nature, with the sounds of the jungle and as you awake in the morning you can sip your coffee as you gaze at the Beauty of the Lake the jungle comes alive and serenade's you. The lake is like a huge bath tub (known as the lake of seven colors ) it looks like the Ocean amazing ! The villa is nestled in the jungel on a bluff on it's own private cove over looking the lake with views from the Casa , Casita, Nest and Great room. A vacation at Mayacala will reward you with gentle tropical breezes, warm clear water, starry nights and the seductive sounds of a genuine jungle paradise. I chose this location on Laguana Bacalar and would love to share the serenity seclusion and beauty it provides.
