Great Condo. Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We loved our experience staying at this condo. The location is very convenient to Eagle Lodge and Chair 15 and the unit is generally well-maintained, clean and reasonably modern. The size was fine for our family of four, including our two young daughters. Instructions for access to the unit were straight-forward and we never needed to reach out to the host for anything the entire time we were there. I struggle to find much in the way of negatives and any I can come up with are nitpicks in the grand scheme of things, such as the fact that the non-stick coating has deteriorated off (or might still be deteriorating off) a few of the pots and pans and one of the pillow cases looked like it was either dirty or stained. (However, there were so many available pillows (the rest of which looked fine), we simply set that one aside and didn't use it. Not a big deal.)

On another note, we found the unit to be quite warm. We were actually hot the first night, no matter how low we adjusted the temperature level. From the second day on, we turned off the heat completely in both the living room and bedroom and the temperature seemed "just right" the entire rest of our three-night stay. I assume the unit is really well insulated (which is great), plus perhaps there was ambient heat coming from elsewhere in the building (unit below? hallway?). I'm not sure. All I know is that it was never above freezing outside and there were single digit temperatures every night we were there (the week of Presidents Day), yet we were super comfortable in the unit overnight and in the early morning without even having the heat on.

All in all, it was a great unit and we enjoyed our experience. We would certainly stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the great feedback. We apologize about the pillowcase, but are glad you found enough extra pillows. In the future please feel free to call our office any time between 8am - 8pm (or 24/7 for emergencies) and our staff can address any cleaning or linen issues during your stay. Based on your review, we have ordered replacement pots and pans and will retire the bad nonstick items right away. Again if in the unit and you find something unacceptable like that, give us a call and we will bring a replacement over. Thank you again for your business, and we hope you'll stay with us again!

Ideal location to slopes

  • 5 of 5

Ideal location with morning sun facing away, picturesque. Convenient parking, and skiing in and out. Clean unit with nicely stocked cooking supplies for eating in. Would definitely recommend to even the most pickiest of travelers with a penchant for cleanliness.

Beautiful, well kept condo

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this nicely furnished condo. The cabin has beautiful log furniture and a comfy bed. We liked sitting out on the balcony and looking at the mountains which still had some snow on them. The condo was clean and had nice amenities - we would like to come again in the future.

Close to slopes...great views.

  • 4 of 5

Stayed Mon-Sat over spring break. Location is very convenient, walk right out the door to Eagle Lift. Unit was clean, updated, tech was easy to figure out. Refrigerator is very loud as previously stated, especially if you have someone sleeping on the pullout couch. We are heavy sleepers so not as big a problem for us, but if not, bring earplugs. The views were really nice from the unit, higher up so it gets lots of light.

The Resort itself could use a facelift, carpet in hallways is worn, gym is small but ok to get a sweat out. We didn't realize since we were in VRBO that the front desk would not be super helpful. They weren't rude but certainly weren't interested in assisting a VRBO renter, but oh well. Overall a great stay and fantastic spring skiing in Mammoth! Would do it again!

Mammoth Ski condo!

  • 4 of 5

Great location, everything works fine but carpet would be nice for a ski condo and the TP was for Hotel 6! That said we had a great time!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your business. I'm not sure why you expected carpet since the photos clearly show the condo has upgraded hard wood floors. Hardwood flooring holds up better in the snow, and is a more sanitary option. Next time you visit, call our office and we can offer other properties in our inventory that offer carpet.
