About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 1200 Sq Ft Apartment (> 2 people extra $50.00/person)

Relax to the sound of falling water from your front deck and enjoy the mountain views from your rear deck when you stay at Pinseeker's Retreat on Eagle Gap. Enjoy all that the Smokies and the quaint town of Waynesville has to offer-hiking, leaf looking, shopping, skiing and yes, GOLF. Our retreat sits a quarter mile from the driving range, pool, clubhouse and first tee at Laurel Ridge Country Club in a beautiful, private wooded setting with falling water surrounded by huge rhododendrons, deciduous and evergreen trees. Your stay will include guest privileges (fees charged at guest rates) to the country club where you can enjoy tennis, golf and the pool; you can also eat at the dining room or order in from the Rosemary and Thyme catering menu.

The retreat, which is separately connected to our larger home, is geared toward couples but has privacy for four. It has its own two separate entrances, master bedroom with king bed and satellite television, a bedroom with a murphy bed, a small kitchen complete with laundry machines, a sitting room which overlooks the mountains (also with satellite tv,) two full bathrooms-one with a sunken Jacuzzi tub, and two private decks.

About Ann Cramm

We have lived, owned a business, Blue Ridge Post and Beam, and been members at Laurel Ridge for twenty years.

Why Ann Cramm chose Waynesville

We choose to live in Waynesville because the people are friendly, the town is charming, the setting in the mountains is spectacular and the close proximity to Asheville is a bonus.

We are centrally located in Western North Carolina-less than one hour from Asheville, from Cherokee, from Cataloochee Ski Area, approx. 11/2 hour from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge; we proudly claim easy access to all Smokey Mountain activities and attractions.

What makes this apartment unique

Our home is unique in that it is 4000 sq ft on one level; it's sprawling design with master quarter on one side and Pinseeker's Retreat on the other side separated by a large living quarter allows for privacy and seclusion. Our home's setting in one of the best in the Laurel Ridge community.

The place is peaceful, quiet, clean, and in a private setting overlooking the town. I would recommend it anytime of the year, but the fall was a splendid view of the leaves changing color.

Wonderful place to get away!

We would definitely come back! Beautiful view and very private. Felt like we were at home instead of your regular condo, etc. Beautiful furnishings, comfy bed/pillows and tub. Close to shopping/restaurants. Very nice owners. Highly recommend!!!

Fun in the Rain

  • 5 of 5

This large, well furnished, and beautifully located rental unit actually enabled us to enjoy our mountain visit despite nearly constant rain over our 4 day stay. The view from both the sitting room and deck is rather spectacular while the covered gazebo on the deck protected us from the weather when outside. The apartment surpasses its description and photos on VRBO and we recommend it highly. Waynesville itself is a lovely mountain down with many varied activities. We particularly enjoyed its restaurants, The Haywood Arts Regional Theater and the Museum of N.C. Handicrafts. We were able to squeeze in a round of golf between the rain drops at the Laurel Ridge C.C. and greatly enjoyed the course. It is very well maintained, challenging, and fun to play.

Great place, location, and views!

  • 5 of 5

This place is so nice, we would like to stay here again. All the good reviews are true; you can believe every word. After a day of touring around, we would sit on the glider with a glass of wine and listen to the waterfall. The accommodation are comfortable. We slept great and in the morning we enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee while gazing at the beautiful views. Waynesville was a great discovery for us. We enjoyed shopping in the different shops, and loved the restaurants. We loved our stay here.

Serene, peaceful

  • 5 of 5

It was even better than the pictures depicted. I did not want to leave. The view from the back deck was outstanding. A beautiful, peaceful spot for morning coffee or afternoon wine. Very private. Owners are next door but you do not even realize it. They were wonderful people who always responded to our questions. Close to Maggie Valley, Cherokee, hendersonville, Asheville.... Great location. Kitchen was small but had everything I needed to cook what I wanted. Being dog lovers, we felt we got an added bonus when we found out the owner had three dogs who often came by to visit. I would definitely return to this property and highly recommend it.
