Overview

About the property

Modern, romantic, and rustic, smoke-free tiny house cabin with sleeping loft.

About this listing

A rustic, romantic & modern, smoke-free tiny house cabin with sleeping loft, WiFi, HDTV & small pantry and kitchen. Sleeps 2 in the loft, & 2 in the sleeper sofa. You're just about roughin' it here, but with most modern amenities, but don't forget a tiny home!

Primitive means we do have running water on site, with electric and WiFi, we give you the cleanest bathroom port-a-john and shower hut for your use & lots of bottled water, water for hand washing, cooking & shower hut!

The space

Our tiny home cabin is small but packed with lots of modern amenities. Located on 17.5+ acres of private campground property & boarding state game lands, and the Appalachian Trail makes our location very unique. We are just a few miles from Fuller & Laurel Lake, & Long Pine Run Reservoir for kayaking and fishing.

Camping is fantastic at this location with a fire pit close by, picnic table, and outside grill with many open acres for your activities. Our cabin is located at the campground, so some action is to be expected on the property with close neighbors.

Our cabin includes a small pantry, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven & outside propane grill. HDTV & basic Wifi internet included.

Our sleeping areas include 1 queen memory foam mattress in loft area & 1 sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 people. Linen is provided only for the loft area.

Please note, there is no running water inside the cabin. We have a water source outside, include some bottled water for drinking, cooking, coffee, etc too. You are encouraged to bring your own water. The bathroom is a port-a-potty that is cleaned before your stay, and the shower is an outside camping shower that is not always warm. This is a primitive cabin, so if these features may scare you and you can't get away from modern day amenities, I would look for a hotel instead.

Guest access

Cabin guests are able to access the entire campground, any weekend events at the campground & utalize the area around the cabin.

Interaction with guests

I am always on Airbnb or mobile and can respond to any questions quickly, but don't expect me to say in this cabin with you. On occasion, I may be in a tent or hammock on the weekends camping too, but usually, I'm just 10 miles away from cabin location. You will be provided with a special key code for entrance to my cabin, and your stay is private and alone. Want recommendations? Me too cook your the best steak ever? Or to hang out and drink a beer or two? Just ask, I will be glad to join you to show you a good time.

Other things to note

Cleaning Fee: We charge a 25$ cleaning fee for the cabin rental for your entire stay.

Pets: You must inform me of the booking, your pet name, type, and breed. We do charge an additional $25 pet cleaning fee which is additional to the standard cleaning fee. This is due to us having to provide additional cleaning duties after your check out like;

1) Remove all bedding, including bedspreads, etc and have them cleaned.

2) Clean the carpets to remove any pet dander that might be a cause for allergic reaction in others.

3) Clean all the upholstered furniture in the same manner for the same reason.

Please understand, the cleaning fees are a bit high if you have a pet too. An additional $50 actually. Sometimes this fee may not be justifiable if staying for 1 night. Please do understand this fee is to better serve you and future guests.

Additional options are available and must be paid with booking. Please request with booking.

Large Load of Firewood: $20

Pet Cleaning Fee: $25

Unique Camping Experience

  • 5 of 5

Our two boys found this house very inspiring. Sometimes it was a pirate ship, sometimes a civil war baracks. Day trips to Gettysburg, Hershey Park, etc. kept us busy and the lakes and hiking trails in the area kept us happy.

Great getaway weekend that was simple and fun!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a great time staying here for a weekend. It was small and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the weather and campfire. Gettysburg is not far away and we spent a day there going through the museum. The campground overall was quiet and we enjoyed that a lot! Jamie stopped by a time or two while we were outside to make sure we had what we needed and was very friendly! If the opportunity presents itself I'm sure we'll be back!

Great cabin getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Without asking the AC was in and running when we arrived which was much appreciated after hiking in 90 degree temps. The cabin was very clean, neat, and fully loaded with amenities (s'mores welcome basket, snacks, tons of cold drinking water, board games, bedding and pillows, tv with Netflix, wifi, and so much more. We enjoyed an evening of grilling with the fully loaded grill provided and grilling accessories. The cabin is within a half hour of Gettysburg, very close to Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Hollabaugh Bros. Farm Market, and an access just down the road to the Appalachian Trail. We brought our two doggies with us who also enjoyed the stay. Our one pup gets very anxious around a lot of people making hotels difficult for her so the cabin was great for both dogs to also relax. This cabin is a great cozy getaway, we can't wait to go back!

Such a wonderfully cozy getaway!

Everything was thought of, and we had a lovely time. The cabin is immaculate and so comfortable, the fire pit was all set up for us when we arrived, and every possible amenity was provided. You couldn't have asked for a nicer cabin getaway. Thanks!

Perfect Little Cabin!!!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I wanted to relax during our fall break. The cabin was perfect for that. It was clean, cute, super cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. We used the griller and had some nice dinner together. The cabin is also located very close to the Appalachian Trail so we went hiking very easily from there. The price for the stay was also really reasonable. We stayed for one night so the no running water was not an issue for us. But we were provided with more than enough water anyway so that shouldn't have been a problem even if we had stayed longer. So we got both the convenience and the feels of real camping. :)

Weekend with my teenage girls!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival, the cabin was just as it was displayed in the photos I saw online. I'm always afraid to show up and see a dump, ha. This place was clean, tidy and fully stocked with everything you'd need for a weekend stay. The morning coffee supplies, snack basket, frig full of cold water and smores gift basket were all a delightful surprise. There were plenty of trails for walking, a large grass area for ball or Frisbee, swimming lakes and state parks nearby. There's no running water, but had a camping shower so we were able to get that "roughing it" feeling. But with WiFI and Netflix, my teenage girls were still able to stay connected to friends and catch up on TV shows in the evenings. The owners were friendly and helpful when getting the fire started (my first time doing so). I'm already thinking about planning my next trip back! Thanks for a lovely stay.
