About Chris Brown

We bought this property, just to get away from it all, and also being close to the lake is always a plus. (probably about 100 yards from house).

Chris Brown purchased this cabin in 2009

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had such a great time with our family and friends. Such a gorgeous place to go. The inside was very clean, neat and tidy. They had many board games and movies we watched in the evening. During the day we hung out at the lake which is real close to the house. The best vacation we have ever had and plan on coming back soon

Perfect Secluded Lake-house in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

#OffTheGrid For starters we just bought our brand new 2017 Sierra GMC truck and this is exactly what we needed to break her in and see what she could do! We took the unreconstructed road for some awesome 4-wheeling fun. That was a blast.

The cabin was spacious and homey feeling. We loved how secluded it was having no reception to have a complete and total get away. The view from the deck was amazing over looking into the mountain side woods watching the birds, squirrels, and dragon files among us. To scary stories at night on the deck. Some locals at the Georgetown market even told us about a haunted cabin around the back of the lake that we decided to take a midnight hike in the dark to view! Once we spotted it we all got spooked and ran away, HAHA. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed for BBQ and home made casseroles and baking a birthday cake. Plus tons of movies to choose from and board games.

Lastly the best part was the LAKE. We couldn't stay out of it!! A family down the way were super friendly and we shared all the amenities enjoying the water together. Kayaks, blow up floats, canoes, and the ropes swings! We are now called Tarzan and Jane because we couldn't stay off them trying to beat the last height we reached. The kids enjoyed simply jumping off the dock and swimming around.

We invited a couple friends towards the end of our stay and a galpal shed a few tears of joy from how beautiful and amazing it was. An experience non of us will ever forget. We already trying to plan when we can book again. This was the best vacation we've taken yet!

Good family time

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time with our kids. Great trails and beautiful walking forest. We hope to come back and visit in warmer months. Kitchen was well equipped - landline did take a little while to get charged so be prepared. Stairs were a little scary w my 20mo old but we just kept an eye out and it was fine. Hope to be back!

Great couple vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with another couple rented this place for a few days over the weekend. We had a great time! It was so peaceful and quiet. The house was nice, clean, great fireplace, comfy beds. The lake was wonderful, we didn’t swim, but we fished and we’re successful! Easy drive into town for essentials. Would recommend and book again!

Cabin House

  • 3 of 5

This is truly a cabin house, it is a bit outdated and needs some repair. With that being said, the owners are super nice and helpful. They responded to every question we had and in a timely fashion. The house is not bad and our family had a great stay. Unfortunately, the lake only had one point of access that was taken up by some tenants that were directly across the private road and it seemed uncomfortable to impose on what seemed to be their area. In addition to that, the lake was very dingy, but there was a reservoir up the road that was very nice with sparkling clear water. Overall, I cannot give more then three stars due to the quality of the lake and cabin and lack of detail that may have helped us understand what we should have expected.

Owner's Response: Sorry you felt the cabin was a bit outdated. Most of our guests find it cozy. New heating system, windows, slider, and ceiling fans are all brand new. The dock is to be shared by all guests staying and not to be taken up by one guest staying. We truly apologize and have let the other owner know that their guests are NOT to camp out there anymore. Being that is for all guests. Problem fixed. Thank you for making us aware of that.

Beautiful and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Away from the City and today's electronics. Played board games, took walks around lake, BBQ, watch a movie and get a good nights sleep on comfy beds.
