Our stay at your cabin was wonderful! We stayed for 4 nights and just loved it. Cabin had everything you need and in a great location. Gwenda has been a pleasure to work with! Thank you for the wine and fudge too! We will be back to visit!

Fantastic cabin and location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great 25th anniversary trip. The location is close to the main road but feels secluded. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our week vacation. Gwenda and John were great hosts and very responsive when we had any questions before or during our stay. And the bottle of wine was much appreciated! We normally stay on the Tennessee side but will definitely be back to the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area. Bryson City train trip was a lot of fun and there are great restaurants and four micro breweries within ten miles of the cabin. Also very near the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Cabin was a perfect retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle. The layout of the cabin is comfortable and the downstairs entertainment room was clutch. Very nice hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy, comfortable cabin with lots of special touches

  • 5 of 5

On arrival at the cabin we were greeted with soft music and welcoming lights. A bottle of wine and some delicious mini apple and pecan pies along with a bag of fresh ground coffee were waiting for us to enjoy.

The cabin had everything anyone should need to prepare a meal. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the pool table and the option to watch TV on either of the two sets. The free WiFi was an added bonus. Our evenings were spent on the balcony rocking to the sounds of the water fountain and enjoying the "firefly" display.

Would not hesitate to come back to Pinecone Cottage and encourage anyone heading to Maggie Valley to do the same.

So clean and welcoming!

  • 5 of 5

Walking into a home that doesn't need any tidying upon arrival is a beautiful thing! I immediately felt at home! Close to everything! You definitely get more for your money at the Pinecone! Super cute and the "fire flies" at night was adorable and fun! Thanks for sharing your great property! It was a wonderful weekend away!

Our Favorite Place

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at the Pinecone several times and have never been disappointed. We travel a lot and the Pinecone is our favorite place to stay. The cabin is completely charming, with two tranquil ponds. The kitchen has everything we need to prepare meals. It is close to all the action but far enough from the noise. The owners exemplify "southern hospitality." Can't wait to go back again!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind review. You are always welcome in our home, and hope to welcome you again in the late fall. The Wine Train is a main attraction during October for the peak of fall colors. We hope to see you again! Gwenda & John
