Features of this centrally located home include clean, open floor plan, with up-to-date kitchen and bathrooms. You will be close to everything Asheville has to offer, yet nestled in a secluded wooded neighborhood, 2 miles North of downtown. Enjoy our hanging chair swing as an extra relaxing spot on the private deck, with a treed mountain view toward the Grove Park area. It feels calm and relaxing, just like being in a treehouse, especially while chilling in the swing chair!
Accommodations include a queen Venezia bed (New Morning Gallery), and a second bedroom with two twin beds (with the option of a king converted upon request). All new memory foam mattresses and comfortable linens provided. Single car covered carport and one-level living space. In unit laundry included, with new appliances.
The well-appointed kitchen provides cookware, dishware, utensils, and linens to support a comfy stay, with multiple grocery stores within 1.5 miles (including Trader Joes, with two in under a mile). Great for savoring tasty leftovers from so many foodie locations around town, or for preparing to eat-in when so inspired. Kitchen has counter-height seating at the island/prep table.
The Mod "Treehouse" is required to be a monthly rental, i.e. each guest blocks a month minimum on our calendar. However, we can allow early check out to accommodate guest's traveling necessities. Contact Cindy for details and invoicing adjustments if your stay needs to flex for an early checkout duration of 7-29 days, if you just can't arrange to stay a full 30 days.
In addition, NC regulations allow for any stay longer than 90 days to not require State/County sales and occupancy tax - so if guests want to chill or telework a little longer, that is a 13% savings in taxes. Contact Cindy (owner) to arrange your visit details.
This quiet home is half of a side by side duplex, with private entrances and carports at each end of the building. Driveway is shared, and courtesy to not block access is appreciated.

We only rent our home once every thirty days, in that each rental blocks a 30 day period to comply with local regulations. Monthly rental is preferred (and common - folks like to stay with us for 1-6months at a time generally). Any stay under 90 days requires payment of NC and Buncombe County Sales and Occupancy taxes, so there is a nice tax savings if you are able to stay 90 days. We have had a number of teleworking professionals stay with us for that duration.
In addition, we are willing to discuss accommodating early checkout options if that is helpful to our guests. To negotiate for any reasonable schedule accommodation, text Cindy at 256-679-1681 and we can discuss what options are available.

Walk to UNCA farmers market on Saturday mornings for coffee and fresh baked goods, and produce Spring thru Fall. Or walk to a movie and pizza at Avl Pizza and Brewing, or casual upscale neighborhood dining at Avenue M or Ambrosia Bistro. There's plenty to relax and enjoy in N Avl when downtown is crowded. Easy access to four grocery stores within 1.5 miles, including Trader Joes, Fresh Market, Ingles, and Harris Teeter.

About: We are Cindy and Lucinda, two NASA engineers, ten years into our twelve year plan, transitioning to making Asheville our full-time home. Between us, we'll have a combined 70 years of service with NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center, supporting primarily scientific experiment/instrument and facility payloads from early SpaceLab days and the Shuttle Program, and the International Space Station Program.
Why Grace, Asheville, NC, USA:
We have been spending several dozens of days a year in Asheville, since 2006. Our first home here was in West Asheville, an amazing part of town. Yet we are drawn to mid century modern architectural styles, and had noticed some of the homes in this neighborhood years ago. One finally came available that we could consider and update over time.
