Interaction with Guests:
We are available to interact with guests though we respect privacy and occasionally travel out of town.
We love the peaceful wooded setting. We are very close to the Black Mountain golf course, Lake Tomahawk, downtown Black Mountain, Montreat, many area summer camps, Black Mountain Pool, and plenty of great hiking and outdoor activities. We are a short drive to Warren Wilson College and a 20 minute drive to Asheville.
Guests will need their own mode of transportation to the listing/to and from the town of Black Mountain.
There is public transportation from downtown Black Mountain to Asheville.
Other Things to Note:
This apartment would be ideal for a single person or couple. With use of the fold-out couch in the living room it could accommodate up to two other guests (children or another single person or couple.)
Although we have listed a two night minimum for this apartment, we will consider one-night reservation requests for weeknight stays and also weekend dates booked close to the date of travel.
We love Black Mountain and are excited to share it with you!
Very well cared for property, very clean interior with some nice amenities added. Pull-out queen couch was comfortable for my daughter (faces the kitchen), and my bed in the BR was very comfortable, also where the TV is located with Netflix and other access. Angela and Cas were great in being sure whatever our needs were, you only need to ask. You must be able to climb 2 basic sets of steps to the 3rd floor loft loft but do-able. If it were not in December, the little deck outside the door with 2 chairs/table would be a great place to relax morning or night and enjoy the peace. Their dogs are a good security alert on the 2nd floor as you head up, not to pet, just to protect. Very quiet area and loved hearing the roosters crowing from a neighbor. This small but very complete apartment was great and give high recommendation. We stayed there 2 nights going and 2 nights returning from our other Christmas NC destination. Kathy Ware, Nashville TN
The Loft was perfect for me & my husband. We visit Black Mountain a few times a year and hopefully we'll be able to stay here every time! Even though they had company, Angie took the time to greet us when we first arrived. The Loft had everything we needed and was in a perfect location, close to downtown.
The well appointed one bedroom with dining area and living area with kitchen served us very well for close to a week stay. The king size bed and the pull out couch bed were both very comfortable for a great night's sleep! The hosts were very gracious with their assistance and the few times we even saw (or heard) the young children, they were charming! Their comment noted on having good watch dogs is fair -- they did announce our coming and going. Otherwise we were unaware that they were even there. The driveway is steep, however the arrangement for parking is well planned for ease in maneuvering a vehicle. Although the apartment is on an upper level and both of us are over 65, the very sturdy stairs with a landing part way up and a balcony at the top made for very good access for us. The hosts responded quickly to our questions and gave good directions for us to find our lodging and were helpful with guidance on good places to eat. As a person with chemical sensitivities, I was pleased with fragrance free provisions. Good location to enjoy Asheville -- we certainly want to go back to stay and also eat at the Corner Kitchen in the Biltmore Village.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this Black Mountain dwelling. The property is close to downtown yet quiet and peaceful. Everything was spotless and the kitchen and bath were well stocked for anything we might need. I highly recommend this property.
Very much enjoyed my stay in The Loft. It was exactly what I needed for two nights. The unit was clean and had all the amenities that I needed. Cas was very friendly and hospitable. I hope to stay again!
I came to stay here with my friend and my 1.5 year old toddler boy for a wedding.
It was a delightful place with everything we could need.
The family host who lives downstairs were both friendly and accommodating.
It was a beautiful spot in the woods with a climbing gym and other amenities for kids.
My only complaint was that they had a strange glitch in their fire alarm for both of the nights we stayed - one morning waking us up at 7am and the next night at midnight. The hosts were also very confused with this and it was not normal for them, so, I'm sure they are looking into fixing the problem.
I would definitely stay here again if I came to town.
