About Giulia Occhi Villavecchia

I'm a 30 years old Art Historian.

I was born in Asti, north west of Italy, but I finished my PHD in Rome and after that I decided to live here.

I love this city and its history and culture. For this reason I will be glad to have the opportunity to organize for my gusts walking and driving tours ( with my car, by night) to see the most beautiful location in Rome and to let you see some hidden gems of this city.

Furthermore I will be glad to suggest to my

gusts best Rome's restaurants, bar and club, where I usually go with my friends (insider tips!).

Giulia Occhi Villavecchia purchased this apartment in 2013

Chic and modern with all the conveniences of home.

Wonderful stay! Everything was perfect and comfortable. Perfect location to the buses and metro. Shops right around the corner. Plenty of space for a family but it was only 2 of us. There was even basic food supplies in the cabinets, loved having tea to relax after a long flight. I would highly recommend staying here if you are staying in Rome as it is just a few blocks from the coliseum. Staying in the fall/winter was lovely and could not have asked for better weather while we were there.

April 16, 2016 Great Stay. Great Location. Guilia was very attentive to our needs.

  • 4 of 5

Never having been in Europe before was already stressful enough but corresponding with Guilia for that last couple of months was so Great. She always got back to me within a day of my e-mails. Her place was great for my older sons and myself. Two bathrooms, Hello. We visited at the right time of year. April. I could see Rome getting very Hot in the summer so the air conditioner she had would be a must. Armed with our " Rick Steve's Rome" guide book we were prepared for anything, but Guilia had ideas written down in a notebook on the table that were very helpful. The apartment was on the 4th floor with the back facing the inner core of the back of other apartments. With trees and garden areas everywhere it was very peaceful. The sight and sounds of the neighbors was wonderful. A true Italian experience. Thank you so much Guilia. Always Molly.

Great apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect space for a family of four, kids being teens. Everything was clean and new and updated. Giulia was readily available but we needed nothing. It was near public transit but next time we would choose something more in the center of the sights. Overall the apartment was an excellent choice and we would recommend it for your visit to Rome.

Great location, clean & updated apartment with wonderful host!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 (Myself, my wife, our 1 1/2 yr old & 11 yr old sons and their grandma) and spent two nights at the apartment just a couple weeks ago.

Upon arrival, Giulia has provided us with a binder of information (insider tips) regarding the neighborhood and also provide us with snacks which keep the kids quiet.

The apartment is very clean and neat. The floor layout of 2 lofts (served as bed room) in 2 separate "rooms" gave everyone the space of their own at times, that's a bonus.

The location is perfect, situated between 2 subway/metro stations of the 2 different lines (Colosseo & Manzoni); 10min walk to Colosseum / Roman Forum; 10 min walk to a COOP supermarket (with pharmacy, wine shops, deli etc along the way). Also, the close by Celio neighborhood (recommended by Giulia) offered a variety of restaurant and cafe for good local food and great prices. To my observations, the neighborhood is safe and quiet. Also it is only about 20 mins walk to Termini. In the morning of our departure, the Rome Metro (subway) is on-strike, with the chaotic traffic and no taxi in sights, we decided to walk to termini to collect our rental car. It only took us 20 mins walking from the apartment (with 3 x big suitcases, 1 x stroller (with baby), 1 x ever-complaining 11 years old and a mother-in-law).

I will recommend this apartment and will definitely stay here again if we return to Rome in the near future.

Great location, adorable apartment and fabulous host!

  • 5 of 5

Giulia made the trip special even before we arrived, offering travel tips, restaurant and bar suggestions and answers to all my questions in a very timely manner. Upon arrival, she had provided snacks and maps for both the Metro and necessities within walking distance from the apartment. She was available for any questions during the trip and even assisted with restaurant reservations. The apartment was conveniently located between both Metro lines, near the tram and bus. Her apartment was clean and comfortable - in fact, I may steal some decor tips from her! I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Rome.

Great stay & amazing host!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (4 adults) had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Giulia was a wonderful host and provided tips on all her favorite restaurants in the area, left us some snacks, and provided a personalized suggested walking tour of the major sites in the Rome. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed and was very conveniently located near a metro stop (Manzoni). The tram and bus stop are literally right outside the front door of the building so it could not have been more convenient. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Rome.
