Million Dollar View!!!
We had a unforgettable family vacation here. :) This house had everything we needed and we loved the view and swimming off the dock. The screened porch was also a nice bonus. Highly recommend.
Lake Oseetah is just beautiful!
The best vacation! Everything was wonderful, but we truly loved the views and the dock for kayaks & the rental boat from Saranac Lake Marina! Can’t wait to go back!!
Beautiful location and cabin with all the comforts of home
Highly recommend this property. Booked it for a fishing trip and it is perfect.
Nice all around
Forgot to write this earlier. Our family of 7 stayed there early July 2017. Had a great time. The views are great and the place is very nice. Minor issues were taken care of immediately. Fishing off the dock was good for bass and pike. Pontoon boat rental from Fred at the Adirondack Motel on Lake Flower is highly recommended to tour the chain of lakes. The only thing to note is that Verizon cell phone coverage is spotty but this is to be expected in the mountains and might be a good thing...
We were 7 middle aged paddling enthusiasts who spent a wonderful week at Camp Birch Bear the week after Labor Day. Oseetah Lake is gorgeous, and we had the good fortune to witness the Adirondack Classic 90-miler as it passed by on the way to the finish on Lake Flower.
The heavily wooded neighborhood is quiet, and isolated, while being only 10 or so min. away from groceries and other essentials. In spite of unusually cool weather for early September, and rainy weather that dipped into the 40's one night, we were always cozy inside, and able to paddle four of the days, choosing to hike nearby when it seemed ill-advised to be on the water. Both canoe and kayaks were easily launched from the dock or the area next to it. Loons called every morning/evening, and two adult Bald Eagles graced us with their presence our first day out on the water (we were able to see them from the dock!). There was plenty of room for all of us, in comfortable and clean bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoy preparing meals, and were able to do so easily with all the cookware provided. Difficult to explain, but this is an accommodation one could live in, not just visit. Every window is an opening to the outdoors, it's a great place to experience the Adirondacks at their best.
Great Lakefront Home
We loved the place. We would definitely stay here again. The only real negative I can think of is the dock could use a little work. It's a little rickety.
10 minutes from Lake Placid, where Olympic attractions can be visited. Site of the 1932 & 1980 Olympic Winter Games. 20 miles to Whiteface Mountain, greatest vertical drop in the Northeast...skiers paradise.
