About Lynn Hopkins
We first visited Harbor Island in 1982! We loved it so much we decided to purchase a condo. After having children we realized we need a little more than a 1 bedroom condo. We completed the build of our little get away in 2000. Our family has enjoyed many wonderful days relaxing and enjoying the quiet and security of Harbor Island. We hope you will enjoy our little getaway as much as we do.
Lynn Hopkins purchased this House in 2000
Why Lynn Hopkins chose Beachwalk
This 4 bedroom plus upstairs bedroom/game area is comfortable and well equipped. Being mear steps from the beach makes it ideal for family vacations.

Close to the beach
The pictures don't quite do this place justice. It is clean and well kept. There are plenty of beds, and a few sofas that are large enough to sleep on.
The area beaches are recovering from Hurricane Irma as of our visit in October 2017. Depending on the tides, you may have to ride a ways in the golf cart (supplied with the house) to find a proper beach.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Great family home. Short walk to the beach.peaks of the ocean from the front deck and the back porch
Owners were very responsive to our concerns. Great vacation
Great Family Memories on Harbor Island
We took our family of 12, including 5 children, for a great beach get-away the last 7 days of May 2017. To start with, Harbor Island is a great location, not far from Beaufort or Parris Island, and very close to Hunting Island State Park. We enjoyed a meal at Panini's on the Waterfront in Beaufort and ate two meals at Boondocks; only 3 miles from Harbor Island. Both places had good service, food and prices. We also enjoyed great pizza and Italian food at Upper Crust (off Hwy 21 just south of Beaufort). The gas grill at the house was nice. We cooked burgers one night and bought local fish and shrimp at "Gay's Fish Company" (very close to Harbor Island off Hwy 21) for another meal. Eating is an important part of vacation and good meals abound in the Harbor Island area! The beach is an easy walk (maybe 60-70 yards) and it was an unique experience. Hurricane Matthew damaged some of the houses on the beach - several unoccupied houses right at water's edge - an unusual sight. At high-tide the waves are quite gentle and at low-tide the water moves far, far away. The beach was great for our grandchildren, ages 2-10. We saw lots of wildlife, dolphins, crabs, pelicans and turtles. It was great! The pool is not that far from the house and the golf cart made it an easy trip. Buying the weekly parking pass adds to the cost (we had four cars), but it was worth it. Lynn is a great owner and easy to work with. We found the house very comfortable and roomy. The upstairs area is ideal for kids and it is like a fifth bedroom. We made great memories on Scallop Court. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your very kind review. Your detailed review, I am sure, will be helpful to future visitors.
Lots of room, beautiful community!
We had a wonderful time & plan to return!!
Thank you for the lovely review.
Excellent stay and wonderful home. Thanks
Thank you for providing a wonderful home for our family reunion. It had so many extra's and everything was clean and just as shown on the photos.
Good family home-plenty of room!
We enjoyed a week in this home with 10 people-8 adults and 2 preschoolers. It had everything we needed. Based on the review, the home is listed as 4 bedroom, 2.5 baths but actually we only had access to 2 full baths, not a half bath, which made it a little difficult with 10 people. The loft was a great spot for the preschoolers with parents. Plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen and a beautiful new refrigerator. We enjoyed the wonderful screen porch space but the furniture was pretty old and needed updating. The owner was very accommodating and we had a slight misunderstanding with our car passes and she was very responsive and was available to help. We were very close to the beach-just a short walk and used the golf cart to go to the pool area which was very nice. Overall, good home for a week at the beach!
Thank you for the lovely review. I will check the listing. It should say 2 full baths. Glad your stay was enjoyable!
Harbor Island is 3 1/2 sq. miles of sun, sand, peace and relaxation, We have a restaurant, Johnson Creek Tavern, a farmers market and a small general store, sandwich shop called Marsh Tacky. Take a buggy ride around the historic town of Beaufort, approximately 20 miles away. Then stop at the Upper Crust for some of the best pizza around! There are also two Tanger Outlet malls about 1 hour away located on Rt 278 near the entrance to Hilton Head Island for those who love to shop. Of course, Charleston is about 1 1/2 hours away to the North and Savannah is about 1 hour to the South. Hunting Island, a South Carolina State Park, is about 3 miles away. Those that like a little surf and shelling will like Hunting Island. Fripp Island has some nice restaurants but you will need to call for a pass as it also a secure property.
